"On June 30th Major Chris Galloway took his own life. He had come back from Afghanistan in April, and things just werent the same were told."
"Whyd we lose him? Who the hell knows. There is no rational reason for doing such a thing, so using reason to figure it out is both impossible and ineffectual. It accomplishes nothing. In the end, hes still gone. For the sake of his wife, his kids, and for ourselves its better to remember him for who he was. Given that he was so much to so many, theres a lot to think about. He was a husband, father, soldier, a writer for Flopping Aces, and I consider him my friend. We all consider him our friend. May God bless him and give him peace. Hes earned it."

Prayers for the family he left behind, especially for his children who will feel this loss for the rest of their lives. My heart aches for them.
R I P Chris
We lost a good one.
” He Served as Troop Commander under D Troop, 1st Squadron, 16th Cavarly regiment in FT. Knox KY.” - From the FA post
This was the unit I trained in during basic. He was too young to be part of the unit then (I was there in 1984), but it is nice to know he did the unit proud.
Oh no. I had not seen this. RIP Major Galloway, our FRiend. Please, Dear Lord, be with his family.
A hero is gone. His family needs prayer.
How sad, how very sad. We appreciate his service and pray for his family and friends. May he now be at peace..
Blessings......
