"On June 30th Major Chris Galloway took his own life. He had come back from Afghanistan in April, and things just werent the same were told."
"Whyd we lose him? Who the hell knows. There is no rational reason for doing such a thing, so using reason to figure it out is both impossible and ineffectual. It accomplishes nothing. In the end, hes still gone. For the sake of his wife, his kids, and for ourselves its better to remember him for who he was. Given that he was so much to so many, theres a lot to think about. He was a husband, father, soldier, a writer for Flopping Aces, and I consider him my friend. We all consider him our friend. May God bless him and give him peace. Hes earned it."

Major Galloway posted here at FR as M1Tanker since 2003. He was a contributor at Flopping Aces and also at Tanker Brothers. Rest in peace Chris.
This is a sad story, yet succinct and powerful in its brevity. Thank you so much for posting. Rest In Peace Major Galloway.

RIP Major, you will be welcomed in Valhalla.
Unspeakably sad. Rest in Peace.
Terrible news.
RIP M1Tanker.
Horrible news. Anyone out there with dark thoughts on leaving us prematurely: please reach out! - even something as simple as dropping any sane FReeper a mail.
Rest in peace, Chris. Your country owed you - and now your family - a debt of gratitude.
Admin Mod - can you add “(Freeper M1Tanker)” to the title? It should be made clear that we lost one of our own.
Thanks Starman, my search skills are usually better. But you are right, more people should know Chris.
RIP Major Galloway. And thank you for your service and your sacrifice...
RIP patriot
How sad. Such beautiful children. Prayers.
Rest In Peace, Major Galloway, and our prayers are with your loved ones.
Damn. RIP fellow soldier.
I remember him.We will pray for him and his family in a special way on Tuesday. This is so sad.
This is one of the saddest things I have seen in a while and his posts here on FR are chilling. I blame the Marxist in the WH for his death. After reading his posts, I know what he was going through. I wish he would have gotten help but I think the assault to his patriotism was just more than he could take. God bless him and prayers to his family.
agreed and RIP fellow soldier
What name did he post under here at FR?
M1Tanker
This is SO VERY SAD.......my prayers go to his wife and family...and ALL OF OUR MILITARY!!!!
