A remorseful Michael Vick wants a second chance and a fresh start with the Philadelphia Eagles -- and knows he won't be easily forgiven by fans.
"I know I've done some terrible things, made a horrible mistake. Now I want to be part of the solution and not the problem," Vick said Friday, referring to his conviction for his role in running a dogfighting ring

But not other people’s property or lives. Surely you can see that. Why do you find that so hard to grasp. Or don’t you think that people have the right to their property. Maybe you ought to try DU. Or Kos. Or the Huffer.
Your argument-trying to confuse property rights with fraud and murder-is totally idiotic. The fact that you define yourself by hate(clintonh8r) tells me everything.
Try a little reason over emotion.
I wonder if he’d be allowed to donate most of what remains after his creditors get their bite. 16% of a couple million bucks is still more than plenty...
Hey, pal, just quoting you here. Of course, I have to ask myself, why am I even wasting my time on somebody who has no problem with the kind of behavior Vick was convicted of?
He’s reported to be over $20 million in debt and he’s making $1.6 million, I’m not sure there’s going to be much to donate after his creditors take theirs.
I guess a $20 million debt will cramp his style for the foreseeable future.
If you’ve read my numerous posts on this thread, you will see that I find willful cruelty to animals repugnant, reprehensible, depraved, moronic, dark and troubling. It’s all there. I said that I find killing animals for pleasure (as in taking joy in hunting) depraved. I have said that I spend quite a bit of money feeding the bunnies who come into my. I do not watch violent, bloody gory garbage on TV or movies. I find dog fighting low and tacky. I have never even seen one second of video on any of the Vick deal. I would not demean myself ot watch. You could not pay me to go to dogfight.
Why am I trying to talk sense to someone who believes in animal rights and defines himself in terms of hate. Just keep in mind that animal rights always-ALWAYS- results in a diminution of human rights.
Yeah—and John Rocker, Rush Limbaugh, Al Campanis, and Jimmy the Greek—all they did was give their opinions—pretty damn accurate ones-and they were banned by the major league sport venue they were associated with—Rocker was hounded (no pun intended) worse than Vick.
I don’t understand what the difference is between Vick, and the other sociopaths who are forgiven/overlooked and the others—what could it be????

“So I will end my discussions with you.”
Sounds good to me. Wasn’t much of a discussion anyway. Pontificating on your part? Yes. Hardly a discussion.
Well, maybe most HR types would do so. I've never committed a crime since I tried to sell an extra ticket for the last game of the 1969 World Series for the price printed on the ticket. But I cannot remember being asked if I had any sort of record since the early 80s (except maybe for security clearances, the last of which was also back in the 80s). Usually people call me because they know what I can do. No HR folks ever get involved. It's the same thing with Vick.

There you go, just like hunting.
