Wait a minute, who said I was angry. P@ssed off, but not angry. Watching the reds take more and more control of our lives everyday leaves me little sympathy for anti-Palin cracks.
You do realize that's what the Nazis told the Jews and what we did to the Japanese in this country in World War II? Toss in the Soviets with the gulags.
Do you really think this is a winning argument? Take it outside of the harshness and put it on Drudge as a headline:
Republicans want internment camps for illegals!
That will go over well...
Really?
Looking at he quotes in this article, she didn't say that she was for amnesty.
A pathway to citizenship means that the illegal alien needs to go home and wait at the end of the line.
A friend of mine, very Christian pro life and business owner voted for Obama when he saw Sarah...just no way he would take the risk to have her as president..
I hope you will enjoy the camps!!!
I didn't say you made such a statement, I implied that you've expressed such sentiment. Geesh...
Yea, Bush, Kennedy, McCain, and Obama all oppose amnesty to. They just support a path to citizenship for illegals.
The posters on this thread who push the bogus amnesty comments re Palin could care less about Amnesty
or they would have been posting right along re Obama’s up coming push for amnesty.
This I can understand.
I’m getting there myself.
You won’t need cattle cars at all if you just enforce the law. Make employers check soc security numbers. Allow Social Security and ICE to speak to each other. Put huge fines on employers who hire illegals and do not verify as they should. Make them show proof of citizenship even in hospital visits. Remove every benefit except emergency treatment with a one-way ticket home.
Do these things and you won’t have to worry about cattle cars at all.
Reagan got punked? Are you smoking crack?
Univision
Univision: Governor, let me ask you about immigration. How many undocumented immigrants are there in Alaska?
Sarah Palin: I don’t know, I don’t know. That’s a good question.
Univision: As governor, how do you deal with them? Do you think they all should be deported?
Sarah Palin: There is no way that in the US we would roundup every illegal immigrant - there are about 12 million of the illegal immigrants - not only economically is that just an impossibility but that’s not a humane way anyway to deal with the issue that we face with illegal immigration.
Univision: Do you then favor an amnesty for the 12 or 13 million undocumented immigrants?
Sarah Palin: No, I do not. I do not. Not total amnesty. You know, people have got to follow the rules. They’ve got to follow the bar, and we have got to make sure that there is equal opportunity and those who are here legally should be first in line for services being provided and those opportunities that this great country provides.
Univision: To clarify, so you support a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants?
Sarah Palin: I do because I understand why people would want to be in America. To seek the safety and prosperity, the opportunities, the health that is here. It is so important that yes, people follow the rules so that people can be treated equally and fairly in this country.
The statute of limitations for the actual offense of speeding in Texas is 2 years.
Is a speeding ticket the same as illegal immigration? Certainly not but be careful with aboslute moralism: it is a deadly trap.
UUUhhh... no speeding is not the same as illegal immigration. speeding is a class c misdemeanor in Texas (cant speak for other states), with the limits set by the State, County or City that the street in question goes through. Illegal Immigration is a violation of Federal law, and can result in a federal prison sentence.
In your last post you compared the British Colonists that settled the country to illegal aliens, and speeding to a absolute moral, therefore illegal immigration should not be enforced.
please dont drink and FReep.... sober up first.
Oh for goodness sakes! Hello?! this article was from October of last year when her job was to quarterback for her potential boss?!
Has the light gone on yet?!
The less Sarah says about the issue before she is elected the better off she is. She has to get elected before she can help the country. There are ways she can make it hard for illegals to stay here after she is elected without giving the Democrats yet another issue to beat her over the head with.I think she couldn’t have worded it any better.
Voters should not be so emotional and enchanted with Palin, but always remember that she is just another politician. If it benefits her to throw you or me under the bus, she’ll do it in a Unalakleet minute.
I never heard Cheney speak in favor of amnesty. If Palin said this, and still stands by it , it is a dealbreaker.
This is how you responded to the other guy above.
Wait a minute, one guy here said McCain was the King of Amnesty, and your angry at the others for not supporting that?
who said I was angry. P@ssed off, but not angry.
Gezzz....why do I bother here.
You’re right, her real stand on amnesty won’t be the determining factor for them.
They will use this statement to call her a liar if she lays out a more conservative approach on her own.
I don’t think Sarah will ever have to clarify, all she will have to do is oppose the Dems upcoming plan that will be shoved down our throats! I guarantee it will be a doozy!
