Why The Blue Dogs Must Be Defeated
July 28, 2009 | Welcome2thejungle

The "conservative" Democrats in the Congress, the so called Blue Dogs are really one of the biggest problems in Washington. The problem with them is they talk conservative at home when in their districts yet vote liberal when they are in DC. I would submit that NO one who voted for Nancy Pelosi to be Speaker of the House could even remotely be considered a conservative.

Most Blue Dog Democrats represent fairly conservative congressional districts, many in the South and Midwest and in Red states. The Blue Dogs know that in order to survive, they must at least act like and sound like conservatives. You won't hear Blue Dogs talking like obnoxious, in your face, hard core leftists like Pelosi, Henry Waxman, Barney Frank, or Maxine Waters.

There are 49 congressional districts carried by John McCain in the last presidential election that currently have Democrat congressmen. Here is where you will find most of your Blue Dogs. Taking back these districts is essential to retaking the Congress and stopping BHO's ruinous socialistic policies. We have a better chance of this than locating BHO's original COLB.

The Blue Dogs ought to be targetted for three reasons: (1) They represent conservative leaning districts that ought to be ours to begin with. (2) They vote for Nancy Pelosi and the Democrat leadership. (3) They talk conservative but vote liberal and cannot be trusted.

Our chances of defeating Blue Dog Democrats are much better than taking out solidly entrenched leftist Democrats who represent largely urban,one-party districts.

There are plenty of targets out there. Ready, aim, fire. Let's get to work and take out these Blue Dog Democrats who support Pelosi and company. We could stop BHO right in his tracks and start reversing his ruinous, big government socialist policies simply by taking out Democrat congressmen representing conservative leaning districts.

Some of them are probably elected in spite of being democrats rather than because they are democrats. Those will be hard to replace. People like the sorts of conservatism they get from them already. It might be more workable to get some of them to change parties. They’ve done some good. Obamacare hasn’t cleared the house or the Senate yet largely because of them.

The fact that they have a (D) behind their name is enough reason to defeat them. No further explanation necessary.

Today Rush said, “At the end of the day, Blue Dog Democrats are still Democrats.”

BLUE DOG DEMOCRATS ARE JUST DEMOCRATS WHO REPRESENT ULTIMATE SWING DISTRICTS THAT COULD GO EITHER BLUE OR RED.

AND THE ONLY TIME BLUE DOGS SHOW ANY BALLS IS WHEN THEIR VOTES AGAINST SPENDING AREN’T NEEDED FOR PASSAGE!

QUEEN BITCH PELOSI STILL BARKS THE LOUDEST!

Well, as usual, El Rushbo is spot on.

I would also like to add the Rush has a large audience in many of these conservative districts currently being represented by Blue Dog Democrats.

Thanks for presenting the facts to my argument. Bottom line: The Blue Dogs are hardly conservative at all, no matter how reasonable and centrist they sound in front of a microphone.

Rahm selected these people to run for office, based upon their extraordinary ability to lie, distort and scam their constituents. A whole group of Specters or Grahamnestys.

Without the blue dogs, the socialized medicine law would have passed by now.

Well the RCCC should hire a recuiter to scour the country and recruit solid, quality, conservative leaders to take out these poseurs.

If those districts had congressmen who reflected the views of the voters who live in them, Nancy Pelosi would not be Speaker of the House and Barney Frank would not be a committe chairman. Conservatives should never vote for Democrats under any circumstances. The last real conservative Democrat congressman I am aware of was murdered by the Soviets on board the Korean airline Flight 007.

I didn’t go through the entire list, but the American Conservative Union rating on the Blue Dogs runs from about 4 to 28. The Blue Dogs have their own website, listing members, and membership is voluntary. So really, regardless of your voting preferences you can join. That’s how someone with a 4 can legitimately call themselves a Blue Dog....

In truth the Blue Dogs are more or less Clinton Democrats. The radical left urban Democrats are BHO Democrats. Clinton Democrats are iberals. BHO Democrats are radical leftists and out and out socialists. Why vote for ANY of them?

Yeah, that looks about right.

My Blue Dog congressman votes with the Dems 87% of the time.

Any congressman who votes for the Fauxbamacare bill, and isn’t from the bluest of blue districts will be committing an act of political suicide and knows it.

Fauxbama has spent what pathetically little political capital he ever had on a porkulus bill and cap and swindle.. He’s a lame duck already and doesn’t even know it. By the end of the year, he’ll be completely politically irrellevant.

Want to see something amazing ? Look at the 1983 ACU ratings for the GA House members. Gingrich was the sole Republican member, the other 9 were Dems. Only one Dem voted far-left (Wyche Fowler of Atlanta), another (Charles Hatcher), voted moderate (but would be about the most Conservative Dem if in the House today), and Gingrich and the other 7 Dems voted higher than 50% Conservative. And yup, the DINO Larry McDonald scored a perfect 100 before his murder (Gingrich and Richard Ray came in 2nd, tied at 91).

EXACTLY. I can’t tell you how much I love this thread. This is a pet issue of mine. The blue dogs going by voting record few of which approach being as conservative as the even worst RINO trash like Mark Kirk sit mostly in districts that can and should elect Republicans. They provide the rat majority, they’ll have to lose to take it back. Fake conservatives are our #1 enemy.

If those seats had Republicans in them instead of “blue dogs” socialized medicine on the scale that Obuma wants would not even be on the table.
