I think it's pretty clear that Sarah Palin doesn't really want to be president. However, she understands how desperately this country needs reform and, if no one else is available who can get the job done, she likely will take off her apron, put down her hunting rifle, dust herself off and run for the office.
One thing is sure. She will have to climb over the GOP establishment before she gets to the White House.

Actually, I think they just started figuring it out with Governor Palin’s motions toward an independent Conservative movement, quickly followed by her Washington Post OpEd piece on “cap and tax.”
You betcha. I am going to be part of the uniting behind CONSERVATIVE candidates of whatever party. I will no longer vote for the lesser of two evils. I wil DRIP ( don’t return incumbent politicians) on all of em. The RINO party can do whatever they like my money and my sacred honor will no longer go to them for ANY reason
Finally, an article that says what everyone forgets.
Sarah Palin is being judged by political standards.
However, Sarah Palin never was a professional politician.
Once you stop viewing the resignation of Governor Palin through the lens of politics, everything else makes sense.
Lincoln Chaffey??? The guy who keeps threatening to pull a Jeffords. He votes against us more often than with us. And please remember it was McStupid that brought us “election reform” and helped Bush try and sneak through amnesty
You & me both. I think Mrs. Palin is up to the task!
The net effect is to try and chase Sarah and her supports into the wilderness of a third party because Mitt's operatives want it that way.
I would bet that Obama wants it that way too.
I don't think Sarah will fall for it. But I bet there will be a few boobs on this thread who do.
The latest Big Media paid-for Gallup poll is out, and they are apparently pushing for Huck to take Sarah votes and for Mitt to win.
Elections are won by candidates who can deliver a message that appeals to a majority of the electorate. Republicans who belong on the left muddle the GOP message and make it much more difficult to formulate a clear and appealing message. It's all about branding.
Ever since 1912 the Republican Party has been split. Slowly, painfully, by fits and starts it has been purging the progressive elements and building a conservative brand. A Party that tolerates Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe, not to mention that dim bulb from AZ it nominated in ‘08, can't finish that process. There is a center right majority to be had in this country. Republicans can harvest that majority but only by being a center right party. It's time to complete the makeover, which will involve jettisoning a lot of RINO’s. I nominate Colin Powell (a man so dumb he can't pronounce his own name) to be the first to go.
Yeah defeated in 2006 when he was asked if would stay a Republican and he said he wasn’t sure. He is now an indepent. I didn’t miss your point at all. We do not NEED folks like this in the party at all. They are of no use to us what so ever
But his daughter, his wife and his ex-campaign manager and all the others linked to his campaign (like Steve Schmidt, Mike Murphy, Mark McCinnon, Todd Harris... ) have now "come out of the closet" determined to move the party to the left and in doing so, have dumped on PALIN in different publications recently... They are ALL CONNECTED... and these are the ones who want to get rid off of Sarah in a hurry, after all for them, electing RINOs and Lefties is a very good business first and who knows what else
I used to ask: WHO IS THE GOP????... (no one has ever given a good answer) Well...these weasels ARE PART OF THE GOP... (They think they know better than us what's good for the party. And I suspect - it's only logical - that these hacks are actually very influential in the GOP since they are the ones who are supposed to have ALL THE ANSWERS.... and so weak RINOs and LEFTIES listen to them to get re-elected or elected.
So, the battle lines are drawn...

Sarah Palin is a wonderful person and represents the best of America. She will lose if she runs.
If we wish to take back America, let’s pay attention to lessons taught by the Communist left running the country. We first need,
1. Votes. Let’s raise lots of good kids that are taught discipline, hard work, independence. See #3.
2. Candidates. Ann Coulter says Sarah needs a few years of serious study of the founding fathers docs, seasoning her with a stronger legal & historical background. Like it or not, this world is more complex than just governorship work.
3. Control. Invade the big three - media, colleges, law. Ignore Hollyrot, although the arts tends to control an awful lot, right now. How many of us conservatives followed the M. Jackson stuff and cannot locate Afganistan on a map? We are way too much talk & not enough talk.
Sarah Palin is not a politician. She is a statesman. Statesmen are an endangered species. It's been so long since we've seen any, we can't identify them anymore.
It is an index of how far we have fallen from the principles of our nation's founders that few decent, honorable people wish any longer to go into public service as a calling. Instead, we have in Washington the world's largest collection of pompous, self-interested, sticky-fingered windbags committed to gorging themselves and their paid-for constituent interests at a trough filled with our money.
Where we once had Washington, Madison, Adams and Jefferson to represent us, we now have Obama, Kennedy, Schumer, and Leahy.
Sarah Palin is a breath of fresh air, a cleansing breeze introduced into a giant, windowless outhouse.
Then you’re a fool.
Just keep voting them in.
The media have their opposition research on Mitt Romney all finished. They thought that Romney would be McCain’s VP and that they would use that to finish off the McCain campaign, without having to attack McCain. It didn’t work out that way.
Romney cannot win the nomination because of the Mass. health care program that he initiated. He’s finished. That was the reason that I didn’t support him in the beginning of the last campaign.
We can not beat the Democrat by being one of them. That’s the appeal of Sarah Palin.
Make that, “...not enough walk.” Bad fingers.
