There are a million times we intuitively know what we should be doing in our careers, but the chatter around us makes us question ourselves. Too much. If I have one regret in my career its that I didnt trust myself more, earlier.
Watching Sarah Palin resign from her governor post in Alaska inspires me to be more brave in my own career. Shes running her career in ways I intuitively think we should all be running our careers. And shes reflecting my own experience back to me in a positive way: That breaking new ground is difficult but it pays off.
Here are four new career management ideas that Sarah Palin's modeling, in an inspiring way, right now:

Will read later. Lead-in strikes a chord with me. Years ago I got laid off. I knew THAT DAY that it was one of the best days in my life! (Should have quit earlier and gone off on my own).

Fiscal resources drive a lot of my life's decisions. Me an food go way back.
That said a base must be established before one can take a so called risk.
Sarah Palin has a good base and a very promising future that IMO will be key in restoring ethics in Americas heartland.
She gets my support an vote till she proves herself no longer worth said support an vote

Sure, let’s elect Sarah as POTUS in 2012. Come 2019 (or if re-election looks unlikley in 2015) she can resign and let the VP be the lame duck VP deal with things.
That is the pattern and she will not overcome it.
It was an absurd move and those of you trying to say it inspires you are just fooling yourselves.
Palin supporters are defacto Obama 2nd term supporters.

Penelope's article makes a strong and logical case that supports Palin's decision. Palin accomplished her objective for Alaska, and is leaving the state government in highly capable hands with the Lt. Governor (who is retaining 100% of Palin's cabinet and department heads).
Sarah has more important work ahead of her in the lower 48. I suspect many of her critics and detractors will still have their heads up their butts when Obama finishes his destruction of the US, and their whole world falls around them.
The comments following the article show that Penelope has a fan club (or had) comprised of knee-jerk, barking moonbats.

I'm not. Slick Willie is Clinton, Slick Willard is that Socialist scumbag con-artist from Massachusetts. For someone who has been on FR since 2002, you should know that. Is that your candidate for 2012 ? I can also tell you insulting Palin supporters on FR is ill-advised, since probably 90% of us do. You should stop repeating the nonsense of the PDS kooks in the media and RINO establishment. She took the most appropriate course of action available to her and kept the best interests of the state of Alaska in the process.

Wow, you really sound like a PDS nutter. You didn't answer my question as to whom you were supporting ? Sounds like you approve of far-left RINO con-artists like Slick Willard.

You made me laugh. Had time to see if I was supporting Mitt, but not to actually explain why the Palin quitting was a good thing.
Still waiting for it. I bet you will make me laugh again.

Given that you are a Slick Willardbot, and inherently a pro-Socialist troll on a Conservative website, it is a pointless exercise to spend 5 seconds explaining to you what is evident to most every Conservative of intelligence and reason. It’s no surprise you are a PDS kook given whom you’re supporting, which I had to go look for since you refused to answer the question. Typical.

It is remarkable that the only thing that Palin supporters are able to do to defend her is to rag on Mitt Romney. I didn’t even mention Mitt. I just said Sarah quit as governor and the equivlanet would be to quit as POTUS in year 7 (or 3). You (fieldmarshaldj) said it was great strategy and I asked you to explain it. Then rather than do so, you started attacking Romney.
There is clearly no defence. It is really pitiful.
A robot is one who cannot change his programming when circumstances require. Mitt has been consistent and certainly not erratic, nor unfaithful, nor has he raised a family in which children make babies outside of marriage.
My laughing at you is nor turning into sadness for the conservative movement and pity for you personally.

Read her op-ed on energy indpendence found elsewhere on FR.
Incidentally, it is good for Alaska simply because due to the setup of their ethics laws, anyone and their dog can file a complaint, which eats up a lot of time and money to "investigate".
What are the Dems now on her ethics problems? 0-for-15?
That *is* a waste of resources and a distraction.
Nice try, though.
Cheers!

You just attack Gov. Palin for that shapeshifting,
backstabbing, carpetbagging, socialist, antivote, whore,
named Willard “I am Myth” Romney.
Please consider going back to DU if your goal is to
attack conservatives for Myth Romney.
