Analyzing Obama's Accra Speech
The Provocateur ^ | 07/11/2009 | Mike Volpe

This was one of the best speeches that President Obama has given in my opinion. There was none of the moral equivalencies, America bashing, and straw man arguments that President Obama has grown far too fond of using in other speeches. First, here's some of my favorite portions.

So I do not see the countries and peoples of Africa as a world apart; I see Africa as a fundamental part of our interconnected world – as partners with America on behalf of the future that we want for all our children. That partnership must be grounded in mutual responsibility, and that is what I want to speak with you about today.

Mike Volpe really liked the speech. The sections that he quotes are pretty solid. I’m surprised. O asking Africa to take responsibility for its own ills was unexpected.

we don’t want to necessarily treat Obama like the Democrats treated Bush. Everything he does and says doesn’t have to be bad.

I agree, but the take on this speech in some of the other topics posted was that the speech itself was more of the same-old. Another topic stated that is was Obama agin apologizing.

It’s hard to see what a Conservative wouldn’t like in the parts Volpe quotes. But maybe someone else here will explain it.

These conflicts are a millstone around Africa’s neck. We all have many identities – of tribe and ethnicity; of religion and nationality. But defining oneself in opposition to someone who belongs to a different tribe, or who worships a different prophet, has no place in the 21st century.

This is laughable coming from someone who pulls the race card and plays identity politics. The Dems have used group identification, i.e., race, ethnicity, and gender, to divide and conquer. Affirmative action, minority business set asides, and quotas are discriminatory. Does anyone think that Sonja Sotomayor would be nominated to the Supreme Court if she were not a Latina?

Below is the reply posted by Michigan Bowhunter in the article “Obama Speech in Ghana can’t finish without an apology” 3rd or 4th down article down in which he points out:

*My favorite line he has said is that

“people everywhere should have the right to start a business or get an education without paying a bribe”

Lets see how this line holds out Barack. You lousy dems take bribes all the time for doing business in Chicago. You are nothing more than a sleazeball Chicago Kenyan politician. Stay home in Africa.

Pardon me, but yes, everything this guy does is aimed at taking down the country.Everything he says and does is bad because of that one overriding fact, I.E., He is a communist looking to take us down and establish a dictatorship out of the rubble.
