It probably killed the ducks too!

Although I sincerely hope that they landed in a slow moving current, safely swam to the discharge opening and were eventually reunited with the mother duck.

Ducks are dumb, but they are so cute. We have quite an abundance of them living around the sloughs, runs and drainage canals which are so common in this part of Pennsylvania. It is not at all unusual to have to brake for them in certain areas.

Other people must feel the same way (or the ducks are smarter than I think) because it is very rare to see them as roadkill, especially compared to deer, racoons, skunks, possums and scores of other furry creatures.
