It seems as if the "hope" part of "hope and change" is not working. It could be because the change part is not change for the better.

As the economy continues to fall into the abyss, it is clear whether the numbers were "misread" or the policy was just wrong, that the President's economic policy is a failure.

Even in congress there is realization that the stimulus didn't work. Many in congress are calling for a new stimulus bill to get the economy going even though only about 10% of the original stimulus has been spent. Others are calling for tax cuts, reminding people that if tax cuts were implemented their effect on the economy would have been felt months ago.

Perhaps the greatest indication of the effect of the President's economic plan, is consumer confidence. ABC News has been keeping records of consumer confidence since 1985, and the present confidence levels are approaching all time lows:

This is all just a diversion from the death of Michael Jackson.

Focus people.

I can remember how the lefties in Congress always referred to various Bush policies as failures. The tables have now turned.

Resident Obamah feels America should not be the greatest country in the world because of her past and current sins and greed and is determined to take her down a notch or two !

The pieces of crap at Disney/ABC News gave us this Kenyan born marxist IslamoFacist. Boycott Disney(ABC), GE (NBC MSNBC CNBC & Univesal), Time Warner (CNN), CBS (Viacom).

Sadly people will say “well granny wants to take the grandbabies to Disney.”

Im not the least bit surprised that consumer confidence is at an all time low (it is liable to get even worse than that too). Considering the dems in Congress and Obummer administration war on profits, successfully run businesses, the rich through class warfare and divisiveness, their indefensible ruinous economic and financial policies, what I am surprised about is that the consumer confidence number is not even lower than it is!

Do I sense a hint of cynicism there? We all know how the media adored Michael in the months and years leading up to his demise. It's only fitting that they go ga-ga all of the sudden in his death.

It's not like a handful of liberal editors at the AP, CNN and the NYT are deciding what will be covered in the daily news cycle...

You're not saying the Media is manipulating the news to distract the "common man" from the horrible job that Obama and the Democratic-controlled is doing, are you?

It can get a lot lower. Wait until unemployment gets close to 15 percent. So far, this administration has done nothing to encourage business to grow and create jobs. They are still laying people off of real jobs by the hundreds of thousands, and the make work jobs are already running out. The 0 solution is working exactly how 0 wants it to.

That’s because the DemRats thought they’d be oh so cute and clever by releasing the most of the stimulus bucks closer to the 2010 elections. They thought they could ride O’s aura till then.
I just hate it when halos and auras on pompous asses come crashing down, don’t you?

I’m not sure “The One” would understand how to run a hot dog stand, much less the US economy.

It already is much lower. I would bet that many here like me and my spouse have been cut back on hours and benefits. We have lost over 25% of our income. That means 1 in every 5 people who are in the same situation are another job that needs to be added to the unemployment rolls. This also does not add in the people who are part time that used to be full time. For those it would be one of every 2 or 3 are a statistic.

American businesses are either moving to low tax states or overseas to countries that have less taxes and oppressive regularions than the government is adopting.

More outsourcing jobs.

As a result states are going bankrupt by the dozens.

I am gloating omsode because I am saying to myself, “I told you so.”
