If it is designed by VW I may have some faith in it, looks like a great commuter car, much less space on the road, half the parking space, as well as excellent gas mileage. Having said that, I would not go 60 mph in it.

Don’t worry— the safety nannies will make sure that neither this nor any multi-passenger deriviative gets to the US market.

Why not? Think of it as a motorcycle with a slight layer of tin as additional protection.

Cute, but is it safe? Not if the license plate is any indicator...

This is the go-cart that Government Motors is going to build and Obama is going to force us to buy.

That thing would not even be a speed bump for a semi truck.

USA price once the .gov gets all their various regulations into it? $35,000
USA fuel consumption after the .gov gets their hands on it? 35.8 mpg.

I'd be happy to pay $600 bucks for that, as long as it wasn't government mandated.
As for the low safety rating, I intend not to crash.

BTTT. The local Ford dealership guys told me that some of the smog regulations in California make vehicles get worse milage. I believe it.

Good answer! As the driver of a (larger but still) small car, I’ll have to use this one next time someone asks me if I’m worried about getting killed in that little thing.

Oh goody another chance to get run over by large tractor-trailer rigs and jacked up trucks. Just what I need. This looks like a mortorcycle or recumbent bike with a large cowling. The lap of luxury don’t ya know. Can anyone say YUGO?

It looks like it’s made out of plastic
