Patriot Room ^ | June 30, 2009 | Bill Dupray

Posted on 06/30/2009 5:26:35 PM PDT by Bill Dupray

How else to explain the fact that Democrat governors in two of the most liberal states in the country, New Jersey and Massachusetts, appear to be in big electoral trouble? Either Obama and Congress are damaging the Party brand or these two guys must really suck as governors. Either way, the numbers don't lie.

my “plastic surgeon so many times she looks like the joker” Beverly Perdue is hovering around 30%. Dick Cheney is more popular then the NC Gov. The GOP is so stupid because they can’t stop her.

The important question: Can this tanking carryover into the 2010 elections?

Funny thing, David Axelrod was a campaign advisor to Deval Patrick in Mass, and look at the Cadillac governor now..we can only hope Axelrods other prodigy meets the same fate.

Not to mention New York, ie: Paterson ... then again, the entire NYS government is a complete zoo

Is there still an organized GOP in MA? Isn’t the MA State Senate like 35-5 Dems/GOP. Do they even have a minority leader/whip there? The House is 143-16?

NJ isn’t is almost as bad, not quite, they have more rural areas that actually support the GOP.

The bottom line is that unless the GOP gets conservative candidates that can articulate effectively a conservative message in these states, the result will be the re-election of Patrick and Corzine. From the looks of what transpired in the NJ GOP primary, looks like many people here have already conceded to Corzine since the more conservative candidate didn’t win in the primary.

Note how the Republican non-leadership has (NOT) stepped forward to challenge what the democrats are failing to do. They deserve to be placed in servitude to the democrats. But, America does not deserve how poorly the republicans serve the nation.

Dunno if you were referring to the nation as a whole, or to my reference to New York State, but otherwise in NYS the Pubs are just as complicit as Dems in the political morass. There are no 'good-guys' around here, they ALL stink!

I think all demonrats are sinking in the polls of real Americans. I don't think Obomba scores too high either. The democrats are their own worst enemy when they gain power and act like spoiled bullies. They are making a lot of people angry and the backlash is going to be enormous.

Right - the coattails, or should we say empty suit tails, are GONE.

Corzine Struggling, Obama to the Rescue?
http://whitehouse.blogs.foxnews.com/2009/07/16/corzine-struggling-obama-to-the-rescue/
“A Monmouth University/Gannett New Jersey Poll just released today indicates 76-percent of New Jersey voters say their vote in the Governor’s race will be based solely on state and local issues. And 70-percent in the Monmouth University poll say having Mr. Obama actively campaign for Jon Corzine would have no impact on their vote in this race.”
