I agree...we need to put so many in the street they can not POSSIBLY be ignored...and make the squishy pols fear the voters...might happen, might not, but if we aren’t there, it’s a sure bet it won’t...

I’m not suggesting giving up. I’m suggesting that “tea parties” have been ineffective, except to gain some media attention. It’s not the media’s attention we need.
Yes...meanwhile, we continue to get rolled.
Maybe we have to take to the streets now before our Government gets to the point where it’s at with the Iranians.. and that is no longer a ridiculous thought.. Just saying..

I'm sure you would like to see the same thing happen 9 weeks earlier too? Or does it have to be one, not the other? Or, are you all thinking that there is not too much damage that can occur in the intervening time?
What has occurred in the LAST nine weeks?
Why the need to have it happen later than sooner and why not both events taking a role? I truly do not understand...if there were more boostering of the 4th on FR it could have a much better prospect of success, a real independence day, making a loud, an important statement happen sooner, perhaps, and help us end this madness...don't you think? The 9/12 banquets, buffets, speeches and such could then be more celebratory in nature, dances in the ballrooms, etc? Don't you think?

What kind of “impact” are looking for? Without organization, a whimper will definitely NOT be heard.
The first tea party I attended was way back in March. The momentum is definitely going in the right direction. As for your comment about seeing if anything is different on 7/5, if you don’t think you have any voice, the left wingers have already convinced you resistance is futile. Just stay home and open up your wallet.

The tea partys HAVE been effective. Not in the sense that congress has noticed our anger, but in the sense that we are organizing, taking names and numbers, and building a consensus that WILL be powerful enough to take out the left wingers and RINO’s in congress.
America got duped by a community organizer who ran for president. Who says we can’t organize our OWN community and run the sorry socialist Kenyan out as well??

Don’t put down the cause just because you lack any enthusiasm or alternative suggestions that can organize the people.
Well, they better get a clue soon, and watch the transformation happening before their very eyes. If something doesn't change, we will be a socialist country by 2012. We already are in some respects.

What I would like to see is masses surrounding the Capitol EVERY DAY until we can restore America as intended by our forefathers.
Fyi. I’ve been calling/emailing “our” Representatives/the White House for years....even though it often feels like I’m hitting my head against a wall. But, I believe, we have to try or we have no chance. I’ve attended tea parties in my area and travelled outside of my area to attend protests. I’ve, literally, put my money where my mouth is by attending out of state events to support our troops. And, btw, I wouldn’t be attending ‘the banquets’ since my Mom is very ill and I couldn’t be away for too long....fly in for protest and fly home.
So.....yes, I would like to see masses of people on July 4th as well as on Sept 12........and every day in between.

More than you’ll ever know, o_z. And yes, I have plenty of alternative solutions, but there isn’t readiness for those now. It appears we must continue on this path for a bit longer - until folks wake up to the realities of repeating the same old tactics.
We are "organizing" for individuals gatherings - leaderless and under no banner. No threat to those who are rolling us.

Maybe...I don’t know how angry you are...but I know that I am losing my company, my fortune and my future...and the (non) bill they just passed, if it goes through the senate, will finish the job...waiting til 9/12 seems foolish to me and I see little to no support for massive July 4th Tea Party in DC...even though there are permits and a structure...and I don’t get it...and I don’t think I am imagining the either/or agenda that seems like it is pitting one day against the other...
