Who is going to kill it in the Senate?
The Democrats have 59 votes, plus McCain, Snow, Collins, and probably Graham.

We’re a vote or two from several thousand dollars in new taxes. Business is going to tank. Will the Dow lose 500 or a thousand.

One thing Byrd will never vote for is giving senate power to the executive branch. He loves his senate power even more than fresh pavement.

I think Graham has home constituents to worry about, and McCain may have issues with some of the details.... They probably have the Maine sisters. Even so I think there is enough to stop it. You also have to consider farm states which vote GOP in the pres election with Dem Senators up next year... No Dakota, e.g. Thoe folks may be forced to vote no to save their seat. That is in addition to some of the folks listed above like Landrieu and Lincoln
