Demonstrating what the media is calling skills beyond those of any previous American president, President Barack Obama swatted a fly during a recent press conference. Lest anyone present miss the significance of the deed, Obama himself pronounced it impressive.
On the Today Show (NBC), substitute-host David Gregory praised the Presidents super-human concentration and precision, and added, theres no way that a President McCain couldve done this. Americas voters obviously chose wisely last November.
On The Early Show (CBS), Chris Wragge mused that Obama must have had some ninja training. Wragge speculated that the Presidents reluctance to reveal this background to Americas enemies is the logical explanation for why his educational records are kept confidential.
On Good Morning America (ABC), Chris Cuomo provided a frame-by-frame analysis of the video that captured the Presidents rare talent and decreed that the Presidents words at the moment of his triumph are beyond eloquent. Future school children will be asked to memorize them for their inspirational meaning.
Obamas words as he accomplished this wondrous feat were: Hey! Get out of here, which Cuomo called a gallant and chivalrous warning comparable to engarde. And after killing the fly, I got the sucker, which Cuomo insisted ranks right up there with the final lines of Shakespeares Hamlet.
Not everyone was so pleased by the Presidents skill. PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) decried the unnecessary bloodshed. He should have given consideration to a peaceful resolution of differences, instead of turning to violence as a first resort, argued PETA President Ingrid E. Newkirk. Newkirk said the President aggravated his offense against nature by gloating over the death of an innocent creature.
I think this is the first time I have seen satire about Obama and been able to recognize instantly.
Truemister for president in 2012!
(I killed a fly today)
Funny.
He is such an elegant man/s
The part about PETA maybe, but come on now, the rest of it has to be real!
Love it. One of my favorite comment came from a freeper about a fly in the WH being the result of all the maggots there.
Actually, I thought he looked rather pansy-like sitting there. Am I the only one who thinks this guy is a closet fruit?
Um, the part about PETA is fairly accurate: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/06/17/peta-wishes-obama-hadnt-s_n_217162.html Or did you know that? LOL
But did he EAT IT??
But he DIDN’T EAT IT??
Millions of kids starving in Africa and elsewhere and he wastes perfectly good protein.
The horror. THE HORROR!!

No satire needed the media actually gave Obama’s killing of a fly the same attention the North Korean media gives to the Dear Leader doing almost anything.
“Actually, I thought he looked rather pansy-like sitting there. Am I the only one who thinks this guy is a closet fruit?”
Every time I see Obama my visceral reaction is, “This guy is NOT masculine, and NOT manly.” That is just one woman’s reaction, but it is very strong. I don’t know what exactly to believe about Obama’s sexuality, etc. All I know is that he comes across, at least to me, as way less masculine than the average metrosexual.
“girly man”
when i read about the fly-gate, immediately what comes into my mind is “patience grasshopper”.
Ah, but the smug President was disheartened when he learned the record was seven in one blow. Now he spends hours each day in the Oval Office practicing with chopsticks, incoherently mumbling “wax on; wax off.”

I think your ‘grasshopper’ comparison is the closest I’ve seen to defining the weird vibe I get. I think Rush also nails it when he calls Obama (derisively) a ‘man-child’. I get the overwhelming impression that at a young age Obama simply stopped maturing. He looks like an adult, but inside he’s still a child. A very unpleasant, self-important child, who sees killing a fly as a precocious, noteworthy and “impressive” achievement. (Notice how he looks to the reporter, an older man, for praise and validation.) Any man who stops maturing and goes through adulthood acting like a child is creepy. To see it in a POTUS is exponentially creepy, imho.
