Iran Air Force Schedules Week-Long Maneuver
Iran's Air Force is slated to hold a week-long drill to test its mastery of low-altitude flight operations and bombing tactics in the Persian Gulf and Sea of Oman.
The Milad-e Nour-e Velayat aerial drill, which will begin in the coming weeks, will involve Iranian fighter jets and interceptor aircraft performing combat operations over a distance of 3,000 kilometers in four stages.
"Our domestically-produced Saegheh fighters and Russian-made Sukhoi-24 jets will stage tactical operations to test new ammunitions and hone their offensive capabilities," said Iranian Air Force deputy commander Mohsen Darrebaqi today.
He added, "The message of the Milad-e Nour-e Velayat drill is peace, friendship and determination to safeguard regional security."

A Look at Iran

At the peak of this exercise the Israelis could fly in and crater the Iranian runways leaving the air force nowhere to land.
Maybe Obama will offer them our Iraqi bases to land as an gesture of goodwill.
As I remember, the Iraqis landed several planes at Iranian bases at the start of the first Gulf War. I don't think Saddam ever got them back.
Correct. The Iranians thanked for the nice gift. LOL.
Other planes were burried by the Iraqis in sand to hide them from our reach.
