As president, Barack Obama has mentioned Jesus Christ in a number of high-profile public speeches something his predecessor George W. Bush rarely did in such settingsBecause W would be crucified by the media every time he did it.

The references serve at once as an affirmation of his faith and a rebuke against a rumor that persists for some to this day. No, the references serve only as a reminder (as if we needed one) that when Democrat invokes Jesus the MSM hails him/her as "a person of faith" but when a Republican does the same thing he/she is labeled a "Jesus Freak" and someone who is likely to conduct foreign policy by consulting the Book of Revelation.

Obama using Jesus to promote his policies. Wouldn’t that be considered “taking the Lord’s name in vain?”

Men use God. God uses men.
He’s trying to convince us he’s a christian.

Satan quoted scripture to test Christ....seems consistent to me.

It’s funny Obama can use the name of Jesus, but school children cannot. Graduates cannot ,and Military Chaplains cannot.
Using the name of Jesus is what Obama is doing, exactly what he is doing. He is USING the name of Jesus, it is no proof of his faith.
By the way where did he go to church last Sunday, or the Sunday before that ,or the Sunday before that.Who is administering to his faith and giving him Communion?

Even the demons know that Jesus is the Son Of God but they are not Christian.

As president, Barack Obama has mentioned Jesus Christ in a number of high-profile public speeches something his predecessor George W. Bush rarely did in such settings, even though Bushs Christian faith was at the core of his political identity. Matthew 15: "8": This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
President Bush's faith is at the core of his identity - period. He didn't politicize the name of Christ.
