Dallas Cowboys NFL Team Column By Russell Easley

Roster Series Part 3: Quarterbacks
By now Ive heard it all. Tony Romo chokes in big games. Tony Romo makes too many costly mistakes with his Favre-esque style of play. Tony Romo doesnt care about winning in the NFL. And the most outrageous of all to me Romo-friendly means scaling back the offense and making it simpler in order to hide his shortcomings as an NFL quarterback.
Wow, Really ?
Heres my rundown on the 2009 Quarterback roster of the Dallas Cowboys:
Starter Tony Romo. There are some people on the internet who truly did see potential in Tony Romo when he signed with the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent.

Just like Bengals fans. Mike Brown will live to be 120.
Can’t wait for the cowboys meltdown this year in their shiny new stadium.
You thought dealing with TO’s weekly nutcase episodes was comedy, just wait for this years highlights including the Romo being benched for Kitna back and forth saga and the Wade Phillips deathwatch.
We'll do one on the Eaglets tomorrow and see if it gets this many hits. Chunky Soup
To be honest, big, I've not been a big baseball fan since I was in Houston back in the early 1970s. I used to love going to the Astrodome and for $2 get a seat in the nose bleed yellow seat section.
However, if the Rangers get hot and finally make it to the show in October, I may change my mind.
Of course that means the Rangers would have to kick the Yankee's hindends, which I am sure you would applaud, but there would be no applause from you when the Rangers lay the wood to your beloved Sockless Baston team!
Tom Landry was a great coach, with much class!!
Well I don’t think we have to worry about the Rangers making it to the show, that would be like the Arizona Cardinals making it to the show...
...err..well you know what I mean.
I don’t watch ESPN for the most part and my opinions don’t come from there. I get the daily Dallas update and some of their moves have odd to say the least. The trade for Williams from Detroit last year has to be proven it will work because his work ethic is even suspect. Also get updates on sports from several TX papers not to mention the best talk radio in the Country is right here in Norman with Myron Patten who is also a Dallas fan and has the same complaints I do along with a host of other fans in this area. We don’t understand the logic of Jones’ draft rationale.
So you haven’t met anyone but me that is fed up with how the franchise is being run? You must not get out much because I know lifelong fans in the Dallas area who have season tickets who are as fed up as I am. Winning 8 or 9 games is not good enough. Losing in the first round of the playoffs is not good enough.
I will root for Dallas to win their Division but if they play Minnesota or Chicago, I am not so sure — won’t make any difference as they will lose anyway.
When is the last time that Dallas won a playoff game? And you call me a fairweather supporter. Any team that can afford that large payroll with a brand new stadium should be at or near the top every year. If they played hard and lost, you wouldn’t hear me say a word but they are soft and make bad decisions time and time again on fundamentals.
As long as Jones keeps getting his dollars for tickets, he doesn’t seem to care or he would put a better product on the field. Romo’s head is not in the game after the first half the season for the most part and he chokes in the big games.
If the team played hard and didn’t make fundamental mistakes, I would support them to the very end. I don’t support a team that last year couldn’t finish. Don’t know who their training coach is but they should hire a new one and tell their high priced players to play like they earn little to nothing. The players have been coddled for years and that’s the problem — the owner, Jerry Jones.
Interesting trivia - yeah that will come in handy at some point during the football season.
Can you please point out to me where I said that ???
Unfortunately I have run into tons of Negative Nancy's that call themselves Dallas fans.
