Marcel Reid and The ACORN-8 Need Our Support!
Marcel Reid ^ | May 30th | Ms Placed Democrat

Today on Glenn Beck there was more discussion about ACORN and its shell game. ACORN has been playing a shell game with more than $53 million dollars of tax payer money over the last 15 years.

Marcel Reid, Karen Inman, Charles Turner and others are trying to figure out the shell game ACORN is playing. They have either been fired or barred from ACORN offices because they have all asked for an accounting of the money. They have been rebuffed at every effort. These people are the ones who filed RICO charges in 14 states. They have made sacrifices both personally and monetarily to bring these charges forward. They are aware of the fact if these charges are ever investigated that ACORN as we know it today will cease to exist.

They need our support.

If they have been fired, can they file a lawsuit and ask that the bookwork be presented as part of the case?

We need someone with access to Beck. We FReepers can do an amazing amount of cross checking and referencing of ACORN and its web of connections.

For instance ACORN spokesman Scott Levenson is also a lobbyist with lots of very interesting ties. JP Morgan is one of his many clients and JP Morgan has given millions to ACORN over the last few years. Also Companies like Verizon should be outed as ACORN connected.

Keep this list handy and use it.

If the leaders of the KKK called themselves a non-profit, could they too get federal funds?

I think we all know the answer to that one.

This is ridiculous that we are giving federal funds to an organisation of racists.

Since ACORN is a recipient of tax payer money and funds, we as American taxpayers deserve to have all the books and accounting records of ACORN open to public scrutiny. That is the American way. It is called TRANSPARENCY. If ACORN does not open all of its records to public scrutiny all federal taxpayer subsidy money should end immediately to that corrupt organization. I believe ACORN is even far more corrupt than even the ACLU if such a thing is possible. Both of these organizations are pretty irresponsible and reprehensible.

I have heard that since their HQ is in the chocolate city, Gov. Jindal is starting to receive requests for an investigation...maybe just maybe this is the route to take.

Perhaps they might want to help work on the census too.

It certainly appears the ACCOUNTABILITY and TRANSPARENCY are to be universally applied to the Bush administration.
