I was always wondering how far Dictator Obama and Co. could push before his own people turned on him. MSNBC's host Rachel Maddow has done the right thing and put partisan politics aside by exposing the out of control Obama.

If they were captured on a battlefield, they are the equivalent of POWs (or whatever you want to call them)... but they are not due the rights under the Geneva Convention... they are not fighting for a state, do not wear uniforms and are not a co-signee of the Convention.
They are most definitely NOT owed the US court / trial process. And, they should be released ONLY AFTER the war is over.
Dear God in Heaven, not only does the man think he’s as powerful as YOU, but he believes he can also see in the future. Help us all.

The point is that Maddow bashed Bush.
Conservatives mostly did not appreciate what the Patriot Act would do in the hands of a Leftist. Rachael understands exactly how "Prolonged Detention" could be used by a future administration which does not like her and her friends.
If they are caught raising arms against our troops, I personally do not care what happens to them.
She does not have to worry about that now. Conservatives are under the microscope.
This is so awesome people! This is the FIRST negative thing i have EVER heard come from the MSM on the douche bag they call our president.Maybe this will lead to other things being hidden from the masses coming to light.

I use to listen to Maddow pre-primary on occasion and thought she was an intelligent ...er....person. But then she drank the Kool-Ade and I couldn't stand her anymore. But this shows the effects of that Kool-Ade only last so long and you have to come down off the high eventually and you can't be lied to anymore without saying something.
This is awesome only because Rachel got it so wrong and The One got it so right. From Rachel's point-of-view, when we capture someone on the battlefield our soldiers should 1) call "time out", 2) string yellow police tape around the battlefield, and 3) gather evidence to be used in a court trial. In court, if our soldiers did not do 1, 2, and 3, then the perp goes free. This is what Rachel wants.
My concern is that he will find justification to use “prolonged detention” against “far right extremists”. He is a very scary man.

She is right to point out the hypocrisy in his speech but she is living in a distorted reality on the issues.
Agreed but it IS important that she referenced the movie "Minority Report" about arresting people for what they might do someday ...holding them indefinitely and how wrong that is and even more importantly that he is going to construct a "legal regime" out of thin air that allows him to do that! This transcends anything the Bush administration was doing and it is good that a Obama Kool-Ade drinker like her can see how ludicrous that is.

I don't remember O saying "battlefield.....nor soldiers. My assumption is he plans to use this new "regime" of law to detail anyone that "might" be a threat in the future...but has not committed a crime.

Exactly. Like someone with a conservative bumper sticker on their car. He wants to create the legal framework to lock up forever anyone who opposes him.
