The Industrial Revolution (1820-1870) ushered in significant advances in agriculture which resulted in an increased supply of food and raw materials. Developments in technology resulted in increased production, efficiency, profits, commerce, both foreign and domestic. Industries directly affected were textiles, coal mining, iron, transportation, and steam. The United States was second only to England in the production of wealth and export of goods. The American economy was strong and the dollar was gaining global recognition and nations were waiting in line for America’s exports and the American currency.

Sad to say, but with 0bama and his gang of bolshevik thugs running the country, the US is a threat to Democracy, let alone its debt.

It is a big threat to our formerly Constitutional Republic.

Pure democracy can never work as long as politicians can
bribe people on the dole.

There can be no freedom without economic freedom. Debt is a form of enslavement, and the federal government is nothing more than a slave plantation. We are the slaves. Governments do not pay the debts, the citizens pay the debts. The politicians have not only sold the current generation into financial slavery, but also the next hundred generations. In fact, we will NEVER EVER be able to pay off this debt. The only realistic option is secession or revolt in which we right off the debt and start with a clean slate.

Perhaps our biggest fear is more Federalism under Obama than Socialism. It appear to me that Obama’s attempt to bring back stringent government regulation is a precurser to a Federalist state and perhaps an eventual socialist society.

I may be a bit paranoid but the recent bailout of corporate and financial institutions allowed the goverment to become a partner in private, commercial entities thereby giving the government more control over their daily operations. This appear to be an effort at centralization - giving the government a blank check at ignoring local state regulatory policies and centralizing all power at the federal level.

Tell me I am paranoid and I will feel much better about the future.

I was watching a news program a year ago where the topic was freedom, democracy, and financial stability. The commentator suggested that the only hope for America’s future stability was a mild form of communism. I first shrieked at the thought but then realized that the more the US government get involved in the private affairs of the people the closer we get to this mild form of communism as we’re loosing our “God Given” rights to the government generation after generation.

I am afraid that economic freedom, unless something in done drastically on the global scale is going to be a real challenge to obtain.

Again, someone tell me I am paranoid and I might feel better.

Thanks for the feedback.

The reality however is that our rights are not constitutional rights and were never intended to be. The founding fathers established this country with the understanding that our rights are God-given or natural. They are not gifts from the government and therefore they are not granted by the Constitution. Unlike Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Or Russia, and other so called democracies, the United States is the only country in all of history with the philosophy that rights are separate from and not dependent upon the government.

However, with the current US debt and US government’s ability to aquire debt without the written concent or acknowledgement of the people responsible for paying the debt it has, in fact created a government of the government, by the government, and for the government which is a form of communism.

Therefore, our rights are becoming more and more gifts from the government and subject to government approval. It is no longer a representative government of the people, by the people, and fore the people. Perhaps the commentator was right afterall.

Rahm assured me that once you’ve ponied up your $369,000 share of the debt, you’ll be free to go about your affairs...

not really, I thought I would feel better but I don’t. Thanks for trying :)

It would be really interesting to see what form of government exist in the US in 2020! In my opinion globalism is not just centralizing local governments but cultural norms across the globe. Government control will gain more acceptance as a form of protection and an eventual dictatorship. There is a probability that I will be alive then to see the transitional government. Afterall, no one form of government rule lasts forever. A close look at past societies shows how a democracy can easily become a socialist, facist, communistic, etc., government based on who or what party is in power.

Scary
