I liked what he said that you cannot force 15 16 17 year olds to go to school. Face it. If you have a kid that is apathetic, then forget it. Let them out, but when they realize that they need an education, let them back in.

All these honest public education reform efforts just died and we turned education back over to the liberals or the status quo. Why do you think that happened? I really don’t understand it.

Hippies of the 1960s became professional students to avoid the draft. This resulted in spending a lot of time in college, getting PhDs in education or generic fields, resulting in their becoming professors, teaching the next generation of educators.

So I guess you are saying there is no way to fix this. The Left totally controls education and it can not be fixed until they retire. That sucks. What a waste of a generation’s intellengence and creativity.

Nope, not exactly.. I am in the field and there is a lot of innovation and research into best practices. There is starting to be a rebellion against the touchy-feely education of the past couple of decades and more of a movement towards ROI and actual results. Mostly, this is because of a backlash from those of us in the corporate education field who have to re-educate everyone when they hit the workforce.

All they do is disrupt things and hold back the good kids.

I am finishing up my ACP here in Texas, and my “textbook” is essentially a “best practices” research book. Very interesting and full of all kinds of useful info.
