....Buchanan has appointed himself defender of former Nazi leaders and functionaries, expressing sympathy and indignation at alleged injustices committed against them by the U. S. government. His list includes Klaus Barbie, "the butcher of Lyon" and Karl Linnas, an Estonian concentration camp chief. Yet, while Buchanan defends former Nazis, he has criticized Christian leaders such as the late Cardinal John O' Connor, whose efforts to mediate a dispute over a convent on the grounds of Auschwitz were characterized by Buchanan as "appeasement toward U.S. Jewry."
Antisemitism, compulsion to minimize the Holocaust, a desire to marginalize American Jews politically and delegitimizing Israel all seem to be part of Buchanan's agenda. Appearing on MSNBC on Jan. 8, 2009, he labeled Israel's military campaign against terrorists from Hamas (the Islamic Resistance Movement) a "blitzkrieg" and termed the Gaza Strip "a concentration camp."
Buchanan regularly describes American Jews as a power hungry group that manipulates foreign policy, jeopardizing U.S. security at the expense of Israeli interests. In his book, A Republic, Not an Empire, he claims, "After World War II, Jewish influence over foreign policy became almost an obsession with American leaders."
On Jews in American politics, Buchanan has said, "If you want to know ethnicity and power in the United States Senate, 13 members of the Senate are Jewish folks who are from 2 percent of the population. That is where real power is at.." ("The McLaughlin Group," Feb. 2, 2007).
Buchanan is training the next generation of haters. On his Website Buchanan.org, he hosts a discussion board which is largely about Holocaust denial:

No surprise here ping.
Pat is not a conservative.
Jeeze, he also links to InfoWars, AntiWar and a bunch of other loon sites.
..and links to vdare so he even has the out and out racist sites covered as well..
Pat can be hard to categorize. Nominally, he’s generally considered a Conservative. But I find about 90% of his views to be obnoxious and objectionable, so I dunno ...
“Pat can be hard to categorize.”
Party of one...he can’t get over not being the Conservative standard bearer...and being ignored by so many...not an intellectual force by any stretch, but thought himself to be the rival to Bill Buckley...sad man...
He claims to be conservative but I think he’s bordering on Luddite.
Pat is a Republican from 1938. He's an isolationist and he's a protectionist.
He’s great on TV. Got that twinkly eye Irish good nature.
The really dangerous ones are like that.
He’s great on TV and a nut ball they can pass off as a conservative. Perfect from Big Media’s point of view. A liberal producer’s dream.
Isolationist. That’s it.
My question is, why is he trying to curry favor with a political party that’s been defunct since 1945? It doesn’t make sense.
“....and delegitimizing Israel all seem to be part of Buchanan’s agenda.”
I think American Jews are able to do this on their own with no help from Buchannan as evidenced by their overwhelming 78% support of Obama.
I just wish they would print Pat’s thoughts in the original German.
Ugh....Pat is one of those who can one moment sound like a genius, then the very next is a Neo-Nazi idiot. arrrggghh... I wish folks would quit giving him air time.
Yes, but he continues to get air time. I was listening to the radio the other day, and he was a guest on the Hannity show. I don’t much care for Hannity, but I don’t think he’s a Nazi-lover. What’s going on with that?
He sure does seem like the one the Libs sure want to have the face of Conservatives doesn’t he? They sure do put him front and center on their talk shows.
He’s convenient, willing and available.
