Anyone who has made a fool out of the mainstream media as often as the Charles Johnson has can’t be all bad – even if he is making a bigger fool out of himself these days. Five years ago, the talented creator of the Little Green Footballs blog and “co-founder” of Pajamas Media (a top-notch web magazine) went toe-to-toe with CBS News and not only took down Dan Rather, but also won a great deal of respect for on-line journalism in the process…

Then things got weird. Really weird.

What happened to the nearly 60-year-old Johnson after hitting his high-water mark is anyone’s guess. Did success go to his head, or was he really that… um... well-grounded to begin with?

Yeah, at one time he was amazing. He would warn about jihadists training at compounds inside the US, call out the UN on its corruption, expose fake palestinian photos.

Now all he does is scream about the horrors of creationists who will, at any moment, bring down the American way of life with their nefarious plans.

He would rather go after Christian creationists 24/7 than check into the activities of muslim terrorists. I just can’t figure it out.

The only problem with the analysis is that it assumes Queeg has some conscious control over his paranoia, which he manifestly does not. He’s not “coming back.” Rather, he’ll only get further entrapped in and smothered by his fantasies. It’s like a spiral that just gets tighter and tighter.

The Missing Strawberries, or Ten Vicious Attacks on Charles Johnson Before Breakfast - by Gagdad Bob

Sources inform me that I have been banned from commenting at LGF for making a vicious — vicious, I tell you! — comment about Charles the other day.

BabbaZee linked to the post, the hyper-vigilant Charles noticed it, and he immediately capped his most amusing and self-aggrandizing commenter.

So at least old yellowstain puts principle — or paranoia — above self-interest, as his blog continues to auto-Sullivanize into a monolithic right-wing frat of anti-intellectual jihadis who know as much about theology and metaphysics as I do about web design and bicycling.

Imagine if I banned all of the people who make vicious comments about me, such as, “Bob, I disagree with you.” To be honest, I’ve never banned a single person, although I have asked a couple of them to go away, mainly because they are just too stupid and/or annoying to understand what is going on here. I’ve never banned anyone for criticizing me, because in nearly every instance, the criticism is self-refuting, especially as it moves up the hysteria scale or down the materialist scale. As I’ve mentioned before, I don’t even like it when other Raccoons reflexively defend me from these folks, unless they do so in a way that is funnier than the criticism — which is almost always intrinsically funny if looked at from a sufficient height. In fact, I would be honored if Charles would link to this post, so we can see on a first hand basis how funny his dopey commenters would be!

Being that cyberspace persecutors are everywhere sapping his precious bodily fluids, Charles is a busy man, and can’t possibly have noticed my previous vicious comments about him — about his increasingly anti-intellectual rabble of illibertarian commenters and about what LGF has turned into, with its irrational lurch into a scientistic wacko chamber of substitious idolaters.

Therefore, I’ve extended the courtesy of assembling them all in one place, so he can ban me retroactive to June 14, 2008, when I began addressing the subject.

This is only the first ten. I’ll post some more on the weekend.

I stopped reading LGF back in '06 when Charles began showcasing his photos "art".

The guy has a poor eye, as in eye for photography.

Bad pictures poorly done and the delusional 'lizards" praised each new photo prompting Charles to post more crap pictures, unfortunately.

Well, they weren't actually pictures of crap- just bike parts, dirty sand and washed-out sky.

I figured then that my time would be better spent not clicking over to lgf any more.

I haven't missed a thing since.

The only site in 28 years online that ever banned me was- wait for it-- LGF, for having the temerity of belonging to another site- Gulf Coast Pundit-- which was set up at LGF's behest.
