I want to take a moment and address some rather misguided fools on this site who have said that Sarah Palin is "damaged goods" and "destroyed by the media" in an argument against her..
At some point we are all going to be "damaged goods". I said back in the fall that when they attack her, they attack all of us. Shame on you people for wanting to sell out your values and throw her under the bus.
This is all come from the same place and it is directed at US.
Example
Jeanine Garofalo goes on tv and calls the tea party protestors "racist rednecks" and says we are a part of the "white power" movement.
Perez Hilton calls Miss California a b.... and a c... for not supporting gay marriage.
This is aimed at us. Wake up you fools. Develop a spine in a hurry, because we are losing our country right before our eyes.
I immediately pass over any post that begins with the words “Wake up!”.
>I said back in the fall that when they attack her, they attack all of us.<
How true.
It was a slap in the face.
BUT YOU SHOULD KNOW... IT WORKS FAR BETTER FOR YOU TO YELL AT US SLEEPY-HEADED FREEPERS.
IN FACT GET THE BIG FONTS OUT...
THIS WILL REALLY IMPRESS US. !!!!!!!
AND MISSPEL A FEWW ORDS. WAY KEWL!
You are correct, the day we allow the other side to define us is the day we give up.
And why is that?
Because she is THE REAL DEAL. She walks the walk, has experience-very postitive experience-and is attractive because she is not only beautiful on the outside but she is intelligent and steady. Full of core values and has a great grip on reality! (I would love to have a woman President who within six five years of her election was shopping for diapers at Walmart.)
She is so fantastic it almost hurts.
Every time a swarmy, afraid, nasty liberal writier raises her or his ugly mug to take a swipe at Sarah...conservatives should rise up and compare her to Obama. (Wasn't it OBAMA who voted not once but TWICE to legalize PARTIAL BIRTH ABORTION in Illinois when he was a State '??? I mean....that is where baby's are killed inside the mother in the late term, not only second but third trimester...and it is done by either puncturing the baby's head with a screwdriver like implement but by pulling limbs off the child in forced torture to make sure it dies since so many of these babies draw breath upon meeting light.)
I like Sarah but I don’t think she’d make a good president. Another ranking position would be better for her.
umm, why ? Explain your position ?
I Agree-
(and BTW,don’t care about spelling)
Palin is the real deal-no doubt in my mind-and they will do everything they can to destroy her. I hope she’s ready.
What Democrat politician ISN’T damaged goods? It actually appears that the more corrupt and immoral they are, the higher they rise.
except this one?
I get a little tired of this crap too.
I like Palin just fine but the next election is a long way off and harrassing everyone till then isn’t going to help her any more than when the Romneybots do the same.
Why did you post a response then.
Let's face it, Sarah is not damaged goods. It's the oldest barrel that produces the best wine.
The media hate her and the dems despise her. Has any one ever thought why?
Could it be that they have NOTHING on her. She believes in God and family, borders and culture (borrowed from doc savage)
She has my vote now, just as she did the first moment I heard her speak. This is not to say that she will be a presidential nominee or even if she is, that I will think her the best candidate.
But she is a first class person, one to be respected and admired. And I won't throw her under the bus like McCain!!!!
Here’s my take: I am a Palin supporter and here’s why......She didn’t asked to be named McCain’s Veep, she didn’t campaign for it. Her name was mentioned only in a couple of circles. I’d never heard of her until late in the primary season. I had time to research her policies and observe her after she was named Veep. I have been completely impressed with everything since including and especially her resume.
I don’t buy into “hey she’s gorgeous so she must be dumb”. I’ve heard her speak on energy, and life, and religion, and freedom, and taxes etc., etc. I like what I see.
I’ve seen the 2 shakey interviews during the campaign, the media vilification, the back-stabbing from the McCain camp, the jealousy from the Alaska Dems and Repubs and professional politicos. I still like what I see.
I see fiestiness, I see determination, I see true grit, I see fight in her, I see the video of her back in high school on that fractured ankle, hustling on the floor for the ball, sinking the game winning free throw for Wasilla’s only state championship, I see the Barracuda,I see a winner with conviction and passion.
I don’t see a professional politician. I don’t see her bleeding political lobbyism. I don’t see cut throat back stabbing. I don’t see use’em, discard’em under the bus. I don’t see “I’m the Messiah” and I have all your answers.
I do see “I will protect America whatever the political cost”. I do see “this is who I am-—I hope that’s good enough cause it’s what you’ll get-—I won’t change for MSNBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, NYT, WP, UPI, AP, USA Today or even FOX!”
I see the next Margaret Thatcher, I see the next Teddy Roosevelt, I see the next Ronald Reagan when I look at Sarah Palin. I don’t see that in anyone else on the political horizon.
She can travel abroad, she can study under excellent conservative economists, she can hone her interviewing prowessness, she can build healthy political relationships at the GOP grassroots, she can put together piece by piece a most formidable national primary support group and she can win both Iowa and New Hampshire quick and decisively.
She can run strong in the South and be extremely competitive out West and in the Mid-west. And she can take back Florida, North Carolina, Indiana and Virginia. I also think she can scare the h_ll out of Obama in Pennsylvania.
Her legislative session for the year is done in Alaska. I think very shortly she’ll begin to answer some of the doubters.
well said
She'd be a damn sight better than any of the MSM's pet RINO's.
Good points.
As you took the time to post.
Couldn’t agree more. Just add it up, attacks on Palin + attacks on returning veterans + attacks on TEA Party participants + attacks on Miss CA, there is a definate pattern. The left has always hated average Americans, we all know that, but never before have they allowed it to be so openly displayed with such gusto, and so way over the top.
Naturally, Palin scares the hell out of the RNC/GOP elites as well, so we see attacks on her coming from that quarter, as well as from supporters of other potential candidates. Some of this is to be expected as contenders move into position, but it has gone way over the top.
There is no other candidate on the same level as Palin. What other possible candidate draws crowds like she does? In Evansville the crowd was at least 50 percent larger than normal for the RTL event, to say nothing of the crowd on the street who were just interested in seeing her, taking her picture, and shaking her hand. The crowd was so big the cops ended up closing off the street for safety reasons. This will repeat itself everywhere she speaks, you can count on that.
Once SarahPAC starts aggressive fundraising, the sky will be the limit. I suspect right now that SarahPAC with little advertising has probably raked in quite a bit, probably more than Romney and Huckabee combined.
