My friend Yael from Boker Tov Boulder sent me this story which was not as shocking as is horrifying. This report indicates the United States Government was spying on the peaceful tax day Tea Party Demonstrations:
....unsuspecting Tax Day TEA Party participants were being closely watched during the demonstration planning stages in a covert operation that began on or about March 23, 2009.
... Media cameras, however, were not the only cameras taking video at these events, something that has at least one current FBI agent concerned over the future of America. According to this agent.... covert surveillance was planned and performed at each of the TEA parties that took place last Tuesday

You shouldn't. There is historical precedent: The same thing was done during the '60's for the rallies against the war in Vietnam. Nearly every town has an FBI Field office, especially the larger towns where these were held. No big deal to send a few agents down there to take license plate numbers and run video cams. These can then be cross referenced against subversive lists like letters to the editor and magazine subscriptions and memberships like NRA. Before you know it, PRESTO! Your very own FBI file.
The biggest mistake of all. Constantly see from my job the best and brightest do not go into the military, but the worst and most immoral do. Also am seeing that in the police forces...profane and Godless men and women are becoming the standard members serving. No joke.

I’m sure they put me down in their book after reading my sign:
No taxation with documentation
Show us your birth certificate Kenyan!
Well, Arlo Guthrie talked about this in a song a few years back and gave us advice on what to do about it...
And friends, somewhere in Washington enshrined in some little folder, is a
study in black and white of my fingerprints. And the only reason I’m
singing you this song now is cause you may know somebody in a similar
situation, or you may be in a similar situation, and if you are in a
situation like that there’s only one thing you can do and that’s walk into
the shrink wherever you are ,just walk in say “Shrink, You can get
anything you want, at Alice’s restaurant.”. And walk out.
Because similar actions have been taken by various administrations throughout our history as a nation, we should not become paranoid about this.
Jenny — I can take flak. It’s a small price to pay for free speech.
FWIW, my professional background is similar to yours. That’s why I often find myself chiming in on FR with a different viewpoint. There’s ALWAYS more to the story than first appears.
Choices 1 or 2 does not explain the WSP sergeant I saw with photographer in tow who made his way up the capital steps to take photos closer to the speakers platform. Several of us standing there looked at each other, and I can tell we were all thinking the same thing.
I have been to dozens of rallies, from Support the Troops rallies to rallies supporting a candidate. This is the first one I felt like we were under suspicion.
On orders from his boos the Governor???
I meant on orders from his “boss”. Freudian slip. Boos and our Governor just seem to go together.
As a Christian and a retired USAF officer who still works in support of the military, and the Eagle Scout son of a retired USAF officer, I’m concerned about your perspective.
I do not claim to be of “the best and the brightest”, but neither do I accept that I am of the “worst and most immoral”. I have known a number of military members who I count as brothers/sisters in Christ.
What is the vantage that gives you such a poor view of the military corps.
In any case, I would pray one who has taken the FR name you have should be studied and sufficiently mature in his/her faith not to paint with such a broad brush.
1) The State Patrol are the ones who provide the official crowd size. The photo from on top of that building I suppose could be used for crowd estimating.

From the photo of the State Trooper (?)......he was taking pics of the crowd with a small camera. I agree with the possibility that he was getting overall crowd size. Heck....he may have wanted pics for himself. It was a historic day!
Anyway.....if the FBI want me to say ‘cheese’, they can go right ahead. I’m doing absolutely nothing wrong but exercising my right to protest. We’re not exactly ‘inciting riots’, here......unlike the libtards. Those are THEIR tactics.

Listen to what I am saying, stated the source during an interview with Doug Hagmann, founder (NEIN). The Department of Homeland Security Intelligence Assessment that is receiving so much attention is just the tip of the proverbial iceberg, and the true patriotic citizens of this country are on the Titanic.
Meh BFD. Let them look.
This is a little ‘conspiracy-ish’ for me. It would surprise me to know that law enforcement was keeping an eye on any large gatherings...particularly after the kind of incidents that all world ecomic forums generate these days. It would be a bit surprising if the FBI would be involved, certainly in any significant way, but in places like D.C., it wouldn’t surprise me. There’s also the question about who they’re watching. Law abiding Americans, peacefully protesting...or those who might want to exploit such gatherings. I’m not sure I would jump to any conclusions yet.
They should have stuck their FBI logo on the cameras so we could all go wave hello at them! lol
To those in the Federal Government, their worldview is such that they can not think of islamics as the main threat. No matter appointed them, the culture of the place is such that a minority like muslims can not be perceived as a threat.
So now there are these Tea parties springing up all over. This is a home grown thing, that conforms to all their preconceived notions of who is “bad”. It is PC to not like them, and target them. So a FBI guy who knows how the game is played knows that it is far safer job wise to target the Tea party than the Arabs shooting guns in the Islamic day camp .
