Early this month, Michael Steele said that Rush Limbaugh was "an entertainer" and that his comments were usually "incendiary" and "ugly" on the Hughley Show. As a Republican politician is expected to, he must convince people and compromise on ideas when necessary. Michael Steele was right to emphasize that he is the Republican Party leader not Rush Limbaugh. Later however, he apologized to Rush Limbaugh about those comments, confirming Hughley's fear that Rush Limbaugh was the "De facto leader" of the Republicans.
I don't believe that Steele should have apologized, Rush is not the leader of this party, he's just one voice out of many.

Should try reading his in forum,his repeated opinions speak volumes.Now I`m all for alliances,hell,read MY in forum if you don`t believe,but while I`m willing to work with some who`ve engaged in a small level of what I don`t hold to myself,I`m not going to treat with these kinds of sellouts.They poison our liberty with their moral relativism.In my opinion,thats what turned the party of JFK into the rats of today.Besides,he`s just trying to drum up members for his pathetic Cino site.Maybe JimRob needs to ban the troll,he`s been posting and we don`t need the waste of bandwidth right now.

I can hardly credit that someone would make this nakedly Machiavellian statement in public.WHATEVER it takes? Suppose what it took was enslaving or exterminating a race or class of people, would you do that? And do not try to claim that this is impossible, not in a week in which mobs of people are talking about exterminating the families of anyone in the financial industry. Maybe we would need to do that to win -- should we do it?

Anyway you guys seem to have solidified your positions, and you act like Rush Limbaugh is the leader of all conservatives. You act like Rush Limbaugh makes no mistakes, or that he is a good representative of Conservatives. No he’s not, he’s a voice amongst many. At times we like his opinions, and other times he can say the wrong things or criticize the wrong people.
Instead of making logical argumentation, most of you just resort to insults... And then you called me white trash? haha...You sounded a lot like Liberals when I tell them Global warming isn’t real or that Obama is a socialist. They respond exactly the same way.

We'll win elections by converting people to solid, true conservative principles, which are the principles Rush adheres to. I take it you're comfortable with abortion. Michael Steele is. Is that a solid conservative principle? Are you saying we should embrace abortion to garner votes?

Fixed it. It was fine to draw the distinction that Rush is merely "an entertainer". Calling Rush's remarks "incendiary" was moronic. Personally, I don't think that Steele heard said remarks in context, but that didn't stop him from babbling on.
