Last month, a CNBC reporter named Rick Santelli had a Howard Beale moment on the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. He played a different style populism that earned him cheers on floor of the exchange.
This is America, Santelli shouted. How many people want to pay for your neighbors mortgages that has an extra bathroom and cant pay their bills? Raise their hand! President Obama, are you listening? Santelli said it was time for another tea party, and hence a netroots/nutroots tea party movement was born, taking place in various cities throughout the country. Some have drawn thousands.
Mobiles version was slated for April 15 to be held at the USS Alabama Battleship Park, appropriately on tax day. However, for whatever reason the battleship board voted unanimously to not allow that to happen. the original tea party was aboard a ship....and the ‘indians’ were also refused permission by the brits to use their ship. I don’t see a problem.
I don’t know , I would have been surprised if they had let them. Just not the place for it.
I think they just wanted to use the park, not the ship, where the ship is located.
One of the tea party’s was denied permission to throw tea in a river, as it was a pollutant.
Oh, the irony...
"LEAD DAMMIT LEAD"
Please remind the good folks at the board that men aboard this ship died to defend this country, and you are prepared to do the same as well.
This "statement" makes no sense whatsoever.
Lead as in lead, follow, or get out of the way...
Or lead, as in more ammo?
Sounds more like restriction of our right to congregate! If it wasn’t a “Tea party”, I bet the gathering would’ve been approved. I wonder if we will see other parks’ use restricted.
Our monuments are not be used for political purposes.
We need to place tbags all over the place so people see them in thier dreams. Everywhere!
The original function was to remind gunners how to aim at Kamikazes.
Too often sailors focused on the red dots on the sides of Japanese aircraft.

“Lead as in lead, follow, or get out of the way...
Or lead, as in more ammo?”
Probably lead as in aim in front of the flying target because if you aim at it it will have flown past by the time the bullets get to where it was.
Aw, dang. I didn’t even think of that context.
Man, english is a tough language!
My first thought was your second but my last thought was 3)
Lead as in Lead Your Target as Your Gunnery Instructor Taught You
Clear as mud?
See 12 and 15. Huh, who knew.
Alles klar, Herr Kommisar. Ich bin fertig mit Englisch. Ich cann es nicht.
Aw, dang. “Ich kann sie nicht.”
I give up.
Was that during his pre-inauguration parade?
If so, yes.
