I don't know why any lucid American would be surprised by his demeanor. He has lived the life of an indulged prodigy - nothing was ever expected of him. He has accomplished nothing in his “career” other than instigate and organize, but to no end. Whoever is pulling the strings may or may not have let him in on the punch line, but regardless he is an embarrassment to the office he holds and a dangerous loose cannon for the entire world.

The to-be-announced-today Toxic Asset program from the Treasury uses money from the FDIC to support the $1,000,000,000,000,00 fund.

Am I the only one in America who remembers the talking heads telling us just three weeks ago that the FDIC is in danger of going broke should a sufficient number of banks fail?

That clip is scary. There is a hysterical quality to Obama's laughter...not gallows humor.

There was a 'joke' going around after the Challenger exploded. "What was the last thing said..."(you get the drift)

Can you imagine Ronald Reagan telling such a joke and then justifying it as 'gallows humor?'

What if George Bush had stood on the pile of rubble after 9/11 and made a joke about "and the walls came tumbling down?"

Obama has shown that he has no capacity to think outside of his universe. There is no empathy and no sense of decorum. Can you imagine the pillow talk at the WH? I bet no one is spared. He is nothing but a user. (But I am preaching to the choir)
