Here is video from last night's 60 Minutes Interview with President Barack Obama, where interviewer Steve Kroft asks Obama why he is laughing so much about the serious problems facing the nation. He ask Obama, "Are you punch-drunk," to which Obama says his laughter represents "gallows humor."

Obama's laughter at all the bailouts is out of place, and not Presidential at all. It is easy to laugh when you are on easy street, but quite another thing when you are on the other side facing the consequences of the socialist agenda Obama is pushing on the nation. . . . . . . (Watch Video)

He was just laughing at all the “rich” people getting hosed. You know, the kind of people he’s used to working with don’t have 401(k)s and investment portfolios and aren’t affected either way.

I’d still like to see him address the real problem with his agenda: What happens when he runs out of “other peoples’ money”

I don't know why any lucid American would be surprised by his demeanor. He has lived the life of an indulged prodigy - nothing was ever expected of him. He has accomplished nothing in his “career” other than instigate and organize, but to no end. Whoever is pulling the strings may or may not have let him in on the punch line, but regardless he is an embarrassment to the office he holds and a dangerous loose cannon for the entire world.

The to-be-announced-today Toxic Asset program from the Treasury uses money from the FDIC to support the $1,000,000,000,000,00 fund.

Am I the only one in America who remembers the talking heads telling us just three weeks ago that the FDIC is in danger of going broke should a sufficient number of banks fail?

I think so. Taken with Sen. Gregg's comments about Zero budgets bankrupting America, it seems to me like some members of the Beltway establishment are finally starting to see that The Golden Child is in over his head.
