Even with Gates' stipulation that it will be left up to the families of the deceased whether or not the media will be allowed to view the coffins of their loved ones, it was wrong to lift the ban.

it’s my understanding that if a person appears in a movie/tv show/etc.. you have to get a signed release before airing it.
so the question is... did they get a signed release from every soldier? (relatives don’t count)
if not, their estate should be able to sue the parties involved in airing the unauthorized footage
