If it was a charity in the UK, he had better give them a US DVD player as well. Oh wait - their TV's technical specs are different than ours, so that probably won't work either.

I think that might have been misinterpreted by a poster reading another article. At the end of the article they were getting their gratuitous Bush dig in and mentioned a bomber jacket that President Bush had given to Gordon Brown. They said he gave it to charity.
I think it was far worse to return the bust of Churchill!...What a discrace! They could have moved it or stored it but to give it back????? What an insult and very low class!
I suggest that Rush step into the gap and send an appropriate gift of Americana to Brown. I also suggest that he send a real gift to Brown’s sons, perhaps a signed official NFL game ball.

No excuse for this. The protocol and customs for this sort of thing is long established, and there are plenty of bureaucrats around who know what should be done. Or maybe this was all deliberate a deliberate slight as some have suggested.

No. He’s a racist. He’s breaking it off in Brown for the slights the Crown made against his Kenyan ancestors. Not kidding. He’s putting his race and his ego ahead of the country.
