EXCERPT:
British Prime Minister Brown wanted to make a good first impression in his first meeting with President Obama. So he gave him an ornamental penholder hand-carved from the timbers of a Victorian anti-slave ship once called the HMS President.
President Obama reciprocated by giving Brown a handful of DVDs. Seriously. President Obama gave the prime minister of our closest ally, a nation that reveres the special relationship between our two countries, a bunch of DVDs.

It just shows how painfully shallow our 44th President truly is. God Help Us!
Maybe Obama signed the Prime Minister up for the Columbia House DVD club....now the Prime Minister will receive one DVD a month and if he doesn’t return it will be charged $29.99 for it....
God helps those who help themselves, so let’s get rid of his Congress support in two years.
Very classy dude that obammma wow! What next, a book of discount tickets to sea world.
Obama's "gift" won't even work on Prime Minister Brown's DVD player!
Hopefully at least “Mr. Smith goes to Washington” was included, but seriously doubtful. I can picture it that morning, “Quick, send someone out the Walmart to get something for that British fool!”.
How embarrassing.
He’s a fool.
DVD’s to Britian. 900 Million to Hamas.
That’s the plan, if the GOP will just stay with the base. Somehow I think the GOP will blow it.
I’m ashamed of our tacky President. What was he thinking? Then his wife picks up toys from the White House gift shop for the children? Stunningly rude.
Prime Minister Brown has already “donated” the DVD’s to charity. He should have sent them back to amazon.com and had the check forwarded to the Obamas with a message saying, “you must need the money more than we do”...
Aren’t American DVDs of a different format than those in Britain? I doubt they will even work on his player.
I’m surprised it wasn’t a nickle bag.
Well, that’s only because the “Sham-Wow” order didn’t arrive in time......
Brown already gave the DVDs to charity. Seriously.
I watched that movie again recently. Seeing the unabashed patriotism on the boys portrayed in the movie was genuinely heartbreaking. It is impossible to imagine a movie today portraying that kind of devotion to our founding fathers much less or country unless it was intended for laughs.
