Prayer request for Dylan David and family. Just got a message from Eric that Dylan went to the ER within the last hour.
MESSAGE: Eric David just said goodbye to Dylan and Jana who are heading in to the ER. He has a fever, his counts are at zero. Blog soon.... 44 minutes ago

The latest (3/3, 6 p.m.): Jana just took Dylan in to the ER, again, because he started running a fever (101.7). He had been coughing this morning, so we had feared something like this. We also got his blood counts back: they are at zero. They will give him blood, antibiotics and fever reducer, and try to get him admitted in to a room (the floor for kids like him is full) until he can get better. He can’t take any visitors because of his immunity being zero. More info to come as I get it from the hospital. I’m home with Chandler, trying to get him to do his homework....

In case you’re just tuning in:
Dylan was admitted on Feb 18th to UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital to begin chemo following a relapse of cancer in January.
Chemo lasts either one or two months, depending on how the cancer responds. Once chemo is done (either mid-March or mid-April), it’s on to Mass General in Boston (the only place that does proton rather than photon radiation, on pediatric patients) for six weeks. Then we hop over to Sloan Kettering in New York for radioactive antibody treatments for four weeks.

It’s sooo tough when the little ones hurt. Prayers for little Dylan to be healed and his family given comfort.
In the Name of Jesus, I pray that the health of this precious child be restored.
