Here is video of Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele talking with CNN's D.L. Hughley last night, and calling comments made by Rush Limbaugh during his speech to CPAC "incendiary and ugly." Steele said Limbaugh is not the de facto leader of the Republican Party, and that he is an "entertainter."
This is exactly the point Rush Limbaugh was trying to make in his speech. Republicans need to stop worrying about what the D.L. Hughley's think! They will never like conservatives or Republicans, because they are liberals! Steele should not have disavowed, in effect, what Rush said. He should have hammered home the core principles set forth by Limbaugh in his speech. . . . . (Watch Video)

Just another reason why I wont be returning to the GOP camp any time soon. A train wreck still happening.......
I stopped believing in the GOP when they REFUSED to discuss the illegal alien issue!
I disagree with you.
Fair enough. You may certainly disagree with me, but I’m still right.
False. “The ugly truth” is a cliche. And the great truths are always incendiary, always agitating, explosive, fiery.
It’s not what I expect that counts. I listen to Rush daily and understand his presentation. However, the vast majority of viewers yesterday did not understand. He should have played to the audience, and not to you and me.
“About Rush looking tired: I think we forget how difficult it must be for him to speak before a raucous crowd like this. How awful it must be to speak and be hearing impaired. His cochlear implant just magnifies outside noises, so just another reason his speech was so magnificent.
Rush is never the victim - just another reason I love him.”
Oh, mega dittos to what you just said. Add to that, those of us who know Rush, know he is really shy around people. Considering that, he was magnificant last night.
It is time to write Steel some letters. Mine will say quit now.
Wonder what Hannity thinks of Steele now?
Ping
Yes. Remind him by replacing him.
I think the American people have been duped for years into thinking we have a two-party political system- we don’t! I’m just figuring this out! Things are getting easier to figure out now that I realize the scam....
My email to Mr. Steele
Mr. Steele;
Your comment about the speech made by Rush @ CPAC as incendiary & ugly on Mr. Hughleys show was the last straw for me. I will leave the Republican Party after 37 years
.
After John McCain as our nominee and his PC, BS I believed that someone of your conservative consideration, was the correct way to go in a leader of the RNC.
Getting the party back to the principles that keep me in the party so long, I believed that you could pull this off, however from what I have seen from you so far you are just another cant we just get along RINO in the leadership of the RNC I have no desire to get along with the Democratic partys plan to socialize this nation.
I, like Rush and many other conservatives are ready and willing to standup for our belief in how this country should be represented in Congress and in the White House. If I believed in the platform that the DNC follows I would be a democrat.
I find it impossible to standby and watch what is happening to the USA without at least trying to do something to stop the stampede to turn this great country into the next Great Britain or Canada, do you really think that an American Socialist Program will work either?
Knowing that my leaving the Republican Party doesnt really mean anything in the grand scope of all things political it does bring a small tidbit of satisfaction to me just to express my opinion while it is still possible to do so.
After 37 years as a loyal Republican I say goodbye and good luck to all the PC, RINO, and get along people at the party, and have hopes that a change will some how come to the party so that I may return and have someone other than Rush to get my opinion out to the people of this country.
Thank you for at least providing me with the opportunity to express my views.
“Anyways, Steele seemed to be a Me Too response of the GOP elite to Obama. Look around, find an nice black liberal/moderate black guy and give him a big chair and an office.”
Now that we have come to our conclusion about Steele and attempt to “fire” him, just watch the MSM say “see how racist the conservatives are?
“But she has to stop brushing her hair back every 20 seconds. She’s a looker and needs to act like it on TV.”
Hmmmm....... I kind of like it and see it as a sign of “defiance” in a way. Just my opinion!
You misunderstand me. I’m accusing Steele of jumping to his black ,socialist, brother’s defense against someone who should be, but apparently isn’t, his ideological brother.
Mr Steele,
You’re supposed to be a professional politician so I shouldn’t have to tell you this but, if Obama succeeds who needs you or your republican candidates.
“However, the vast majority of viewers yesterday did not understand. He should have played to the audience, and not to you and me.”
I totally disagree with your opnion here. I believe that there will be thousands upon thousands of people turning TO the Rush Show now. There are lots of people out there that are on the fence and are starting to understand the conservative movement. They won’t just follow suit with the “spinning liberal media”. One can only hope!
“Rino” implies those who ignore the core principles.
Didn’t sound ugly or incendiary to me. Sounded like common sense.
