Gun owners are alarmed over what they're witnessing in Washington, DC and state legislatures across the country. Realizing they could not succeed in disarming American citizens, Liberal organizations and their political representatives have decided to allow armed citizens to possess all the guns they wish. The hitch is, according to political strategist Mike Baker, the so-called gun-grabbers have decided to track ammunition for those guns by encoding the cartridges and maintaining a database.

I went to my doctor last week and he asked me if anything was new. I went on to say that I had gotten back into guns and had bought 8 in the past few months, expecting to hear the normal AMA anti-gun claptrap.
He proceeded to tell me how he had met with his financial advisor the previous week and had been informed to buy 2 things:
1) Gold
2) Guns and ammo
Sorry I cannot dispel your fears.
How in the hell will the government keep ammunition from sneaking in?
Hey, I am with you brothers. I will not go out and just bang away and waste all the ammo I have to make the Chicago thug happy. I will keep it and use it as I want too. I will buy what ever they are selling and load my carry weapon with that so that if a hot to trot cop stops me, I will be legal with the ammo. But, like Andy58, I am not giving up a damned thing. I was born free, fought in Vietnam and served 20 years in the Army to stay free and I be damned if I will become a prisoner in my own country. Basically, I have told my wife, that I am not giving away my freedom. That if they come for me, to bring the SWAT team because I am not giving up. People think that is a boast. Well, it is in a way. I simply will not give up to these communists. I refuse to be a prisoner to them. They will not rule me. I had rather die fighting for my freedom than give in and be a prisoner. That is what I did in Vietnam, fight for freedom. I see no difference here, except the stakes are much higher here at home. Dimocrats are my domestic enemies that I swore an oath to defend againt.

New rule of mine: Whenever I go out shooting, I make sure to never touch my cache. Everything is bought on an as-needed basis.
I have enough to hold em off for a few days, but I continue to buy twice a month on pay days. I stay ahead in each weapon I own, especially my AR15.
Not only am I, but a I figure a LOT of people are with you at this point.
I’ve been thinking... with 70-80 million gunowners in the US, with over 275 million guns, there are only 535 federal “legislators” (assuming that every one of them voted for confiscatory gun laws). That means that it would only take about 500 old geezers who have pretty much lived their lives out and who would probably live better in the liberal-run “prisons” than they do at home and don’t really care about being arrested, to “take out” every legislator who voted for gun control/confiscation/registration. If I were in office, thinking about how I should vote on one of these bills, I’d certainly give at least a passing thought about that. No matter how many bodyguards/security I had.
I have a feeling that it wouldn’t take all of the remaining 535 very long to smarten up on the subject if that were to happen. Not that I’m advocating it, as I and most gun owners are law abiding citizens. But it certainly wouldn’t take many slightly deranged individuals to make the liberals question whether their personal well-being outweighed their ideological persuasions. Like they say, a liberal is just a conservative who hasn’t been mugged yet.
Once the mugging starts, I doubt many liberal legislators will want to hang on to their “progressive”/liberal/socialist ideals... after all, they’re the biggest hypocrites around. They’ll change their personal ideals and morals for any small amount of money or whim of any poll, let alone their own personal safety.
Remember, the American Revolution was basically started and won by about 20% of the then current population. Of course, after the fighting, then there were plenty more who jumped on the bandwagon— what I call “front-followers”.
When the time comes, it wouldn’t take many of us old geezers to make a significant difference, one on one.
The laws being pushed in numerous states have been written, for the most part by/for a Seattle company that holds the patent on ammunition serialization.
Then there's this from Dustin's Gun Blog:
Little digging and poking and I think we have the culprits.
The core legislation document was written by a person called Briahna Taylor for the law firm Gordon Thomas Honeywell.
As if by magic one of their clients is called Ammunition Coding System.
www.ammocoding.com
This appears to be a shell for a company called Ravensforge LLC
Ravensforge inventors of record are Mr Steve Mace of Seattle, Washington and Mr Russel H Ford also of Seattle
As if by magic they have a patent pending for this magical system
It is very interesting to see that as part of their About Us mission statement they boldly state that the implementation requires legislation.
Interestingly enough they also intend to charge a licensing fee for EVERY bullet sold as well.....
Heh, Heh,
I was just speculating, wasnt intending to be pointing it personally to anyone, other than who might be standing around undecided if such an event does in fact happen. We are prepared, and expecting a full blown incident. Others are still in denial, expecting business as usual, and that the Mess-iah will come and save them. I think those who are in denial are about to become very disappointed.
That is the best advice I have read here in a long while. The 545 would do well to be reminded on a regular basis, that if they push this country to another Revolution, that they will be the first to be confronted. You know, that could be the best stimulus that there is.
Never make a plan that requires your enemy to do anything.
However, that being said, an even more important axiom is to never cede anything to your enemy. If they attack, attacking back is always better than just a successful defense.
If anything is banned, that in itself is good enough reason to stockpile it. But never have faith in a stockpile. Its only function should be as a reserve, not as a regular supply.
The art of gradualism has been mastered by tyrants. So the way to stop gradualism is to never let it get started.
Yeah, I know....figures.
Guess we’ll have to go with revolution,then.....
You are absolutely correct in assuming the worst case, I just don’t think that more than 20% will step forward initially when the time comes. The other problem that we will have is family. Those left behind generally bear the brunt of the enemy’s wrath. Tough decisions, tough decisions. The Lord be with you through the storm.
>>”I would speculate that it is only going to take one shot from their side to bring hoards of patriots down upon their flanks.”<<
Some good points, but THEY control the media now and stories about resistence wouldn’t even make the news. Example: the beheading in Buffalo last week. Crickets from the MSM.
EXCELLENT!!
Reconstruction.
Winner.
Whatever one's individual feelings about the Civil War and race relations, the aftermath of it is the starting point of our current problems. We have now a precedent that Washington can impose its will over any and all state governments on any and all issues. We also have a minority group with a troubling history and, for a variety of debatable reasons, a rate of violent crime that is significantly higher than any other group. Both our gun and drug laws are a result of the convergence of these two facts, though our sensitivity to the situation generally precludes us from honestly discussing that reality.
Ping.
That's easy.
The same way they keep illegal aliens and illegal drugs from sneaking in.
Thanks, it feels good to know that others are fed up also.
What you say there is the truth, and that’s probably how it will come down. Short and ugly, but finished.
