Here is video of House Republican Leader John Boehner thundering today on the House floor at his colleagues, "Not one member of this body has read" the 1100 page Stimulus Bill. Boehner dramatically holds up the 1100 page bill as he says it and then throws it to the floor.

The House voted to pass the bill 246-183. No Republicans voted for it, and seven Democrats voted against it. . . . (Watch Video)

Why can’t a Republican member of the Senate who isn’t a RINO read the entire bill on the Senate floor? I’ve seen thta done before and it would delay the passage of the bill for a while. At least it would be read into the Congressional record.

We have screaming yellow leftists here in the office, who hate anything that has to do with the GOP, who think that it isn’t right that grossly insufficient time was given to study this.

(Then they shrug their shoulders and giggle)

Yes, I do. Boner’s the one who fought against all the House Republicans as they went over his head and passed a bill requiring employees to be compared against terrorist lists, as well as checking on Social Security numbers. Boner was the pro-illegal who said he looked forward to working with 0bama.

None of them EVER actually read Bills.

None of them.

They are too important for such menial stuff.

That is what staff are for.

Their job is to legislate.

Clearly he isn’t working with Obama. Why the insult? I am actually glad to see him throw this steaming pile of crap on the ground. The only thing that would have made it better is if he had taken off a shoe and beat the bill as it was on the ground and then throw the shoe at Pelosi.

I know. I work with many who absolutely voted for him and love him, but are scared you-know-whatless. Anyone with half a brain should be, but in the end, they shrug their shoulders and say, “...but we have to do something.”

I have very excellent advice for anyone experiencing that “doubt” when faced with a major decision — don’t do anything. That’s usually best.

When you make a snap decision — ESPECIALLY out of fear — it is ALWAYS the wrong one.

Yep sad part is that many of us Freepers have read and analyzed more bills than these jokers in congress (combined)....and we don’t get paid for it.

And it really didn’t matter who was in charge. The financial gig was up when the Powers that Be said it was.

Anyone who votes for Porkulus without having read it should be voted out of office ASAP.

Why didn't you have them read it on the floor of the House, Mr. Boehner? It's withing your perview to do so, and it would have taken half the weekend to get it done, while Nancy had to stay in Washington, instead of flying off on a junket to Rome.

Why didn't you man up, sir, and force it to be read? Not a nickel for you pansies next election!

Believe what you want about Boehner. I know he’s never asked for a earmark, supports Conservative points of view across the board, and is doing a great job in from a bad political position not of his making.

All he’s doing is fighting on our side. But you go ahead and call him a juvenile name if it makes you feel better.

I’ll just note thats how we’ve gotten our asses kicked in two consecutive election cycles and leave it at that.

Read? Who needs to read it? If they have a “D” next to their name, they have already been told how to vote.

Same for the “R”’s. I just happen to agree with them.
