Thank you, FReepers, for your prayers! In this thread:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/2182098/posts
I announced I was scheduled to be laid off in March and I also detailed that my wife is fighting breast cancer right now and the loss of my medical benefits would be a challenge. And a lot of you sent notes to me telling me you were praying for us. My church is praying for us. My coworkers have been praying for us.
This morning I get a call from my department manager who asked me if I would stay on instead of accepting the layoff. Seems the plan to move my job to India requires someone in India to have my skills - which they don't. And the company made the dicey choice to ask me to stay and my dept. manager said that HR was adamantly against this.
If all I get out of this is to see my wife through recovery from her upcoming hysterectomy (on March 10th for those who wish to pray for her) I'd be a very happy man.
Which I am already.
Thank you, my FRiends! And God bless you all for your faith.
congrats!!! and good luck to your wife!!
All The Time - God Is Good!
God is good. Congratulations.
So nice to hear good news!
Will be praying for your wife’s surgery to be successful!
Great news on your job and best wishes for your wife’s upcoming surgery!
God Speed!
Congratulations and best wishes.....God be with you and your wife as she undergoes her surgery. I pray that the surgery goes off without a hitch and that your wife gets progressively healthier and stronger as a result.:)
Glad you put your faith in God and not in the employer.
....prayers being sent
I am glad your job is saved, and I’m really sorry about the breast cancer. I had a hysterectomy Dec 15 due to a uterine prolapse condition, so all in all it was an easy surgery but we women think we have to be doing all things at all times. Get her some DVDs and a heating pad. The heating pad is essential! I didn’t need much painkiller due to the heating pad. Those surgeries are often easier than they used to be if the surgeon does a v hysterectomy. Good luck!
Thank God, good for you! We’ll keep praying!
I wiil light a candle for your wife.
Good advice! We already have the heating pad but it hadn’t occured to me that she’d need it - thanks for that bit of info!!!
Will pray for you and yours
Prayers for your wife, and thanks for the great news on your job. God Bless.
Wish you the best! Prayers for your wife’s surgery and recovery.
Thank you and thank you everyone!
I liked the heating pad, and pillows and a nice blanket (we have the woolrich ones) and Hershey’s bliss chocolates in the purple wrapper. Also, often with the newer kind of hysterectomy, the woman feels good and wants to do all sorts of things, but she needs to heal inside. Have her follow doctor’s orders!
