The American Kennel Club (AKC) and the Ku-Klux Klan are probably two organizations that don't draw any immediate parallels in the minds of most Americans. When the 133rd annual Westminster Dog Show airs on the USA Network next week, it is probably a safe bet that the last things that will pop into the skulls of the sane are burning crosses, lynchings and white hoods.
Then, of course, there's PETA (People For The Ethical Treatment of Animals) - the radical organization of unhinged moonbats that advocates moral and legal equality between human beings and animals. This is the same fanatical group of dangerous malcontents with direct ties to domestic terrorist groups like the Earth Liberation Front (ELF) and the Animal Liberation Front (ALF).
Their latest campaign of dementia equates Klansmen with AKC dog breeders - not unlike the "Holocaust on Your Plate" campaign from earlier this decade that associated steak and slaughtered Jews.
They've taken what they obviously think is a brilliant approach to a problem that, to them, is as serious as any facing America right now. They've created a ...

I am so sick of these people too. A good friend of mine is in NYC, showing her dog at the Garden tomorrow at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog show. No dog is treated better than hers. PETA and the HSUS have no clue what they are doing. I hope it backfires on them.

Note to the interested: Watching Westminster is an alternative to watching g Zero give a speech on the regular TV channels Monday night. Zero is going to be on at 8 at the same time as the FAR more intelligent dogs will be.
I know - having been in the dog game for years. I’ve witnessed the work of PETA first-hand. They have come to dog shows around the country and “released” show dogs from their crates - creating chaos and inflicting injury to humans and dog alike.
What a bunch of nutjobs. I will say, I’ve always been an advocate for heinz 57 type dogs, until I got my first Belgian Sheepdog. Now, I won’t own any other breed.
We will be glued to USA network watching WKC, hoping my friend wins Best of Breed and goes on to group.
Not many animals are treated better than a top show dog. Why don’t these nut jobs go protest some real suffering, animal or human?
I’ve got a pound mutt, a rescued Aussie, and a purebred Border Collie. I try to steer folks to consider adopting from a shelter/rescue, but PETA wants to destroy breeds. They think a Border Collie working sheep is an abused slave of fascist humans, not a dog doing what it loves. My BC won’t work sheep, but he’s NOT abused in any way.
