Also, the more his mug is on TV, the more he is associated with anything that goes wrong.

How do we get rid of them? Can the president fire them, or are they there no matter what? If there is a way, I would love to see them go!

[Of course. Aren't you familiar with that constituional amendment giving the president the right to fire members of congress?] LMAO!

Just the latest exercise of Obama Newsspeak. Every failure of Obama will be spun as a success. Every weakness of The One will be portrayed as a strength. Good is bad, war is peace, up is down, day is night, you know. Get with the program already. If not, it’s Room 101 for you...

To celebrate Oceania's success, the chocolate ration has been increased from 60 grams to 40 grams.

He thinks if he stands there with a knowing look he is coming across as strong. In fact, he’s just thinking about when he can sneak out for a smoke.

Riddle me this: I thought the first TARP/Bailout/ScrewYouAmericanTaxpayers bill during Bush’s last weeks in office was supposed to stimulate the banks into SAVING OUR ECONOMY!!!! [insert dire organ music here] so that would have been technically “Stimulus I”, correct?

Now, we’ve learned in HolyO’s first few weeks that it bombed and no one has a clue where all those BILLIONS (cue Carl Sagan voice) of taxpayers disappeared to...so we must once again be SAVING OUR ECONOMY!!![insert dire organ music here] with what should technically be called “Stimulus II”, correct??

And this Pitt person is ready for the next phase already?!?
“Stimulus III”??

Gak. 2 more years til the 2010 elections!! All these bozos MUSTMUSTMUST be voted out!!! Wouldn’t it be a hoot to see EVERY SINGLE DEMOCRAT in Congress voted out because of all this foolishness just in the first few weeks of HolyO’s reign?? Bwahahahahahahhahahaha. Payback will be when the Republicans veto EVERYTHING HolyO sends their way! He’ll see how it feels to be “President Bush II”, LOLOLOLOLOL!!!!

We spent six years with a president who could ram whatever he wanted through congress.

Like Social Security reform, appellate court judges' confirmations, energy reforms ... ?

About all Bush managed to "ram .. through" was Iraq/ GWOT, Roberts and Alito. (Thankfully. But so much else was stymied.)

I don't want to "DUmmie ALERT!" to detract from this most-excellent edition of the DUmmie FUnnies, but we just got done covering the same bonfire by the Bostonian Drunkard, but with different emphasis.

You covered, very well, the rank stupidity of the Bostonian Drunkard, while we covered the rank stupidity of the primitives.

Man, the primitives are just really stupid, just so very really stupid.

Link on next comment.

None of these guys seem to realize that OBAMA's policy is being DISPUTED by his own MAJORITY. Bush didn't have to force things through Congress. His majority worked with him. Obama can't even get his own midgets in line with his socialism.

For some reason they don't see this as the PEOPLE scaring the hell out of Congress and blocking what was suppose to be the big Obama Mandate. So much for a honeymoon. Obama can't even GIVE AWAY MONEY successfully.

And in a weird way, all this bedlam around the stimulus is a tonic

Obama's leadership style in this matter is catatonic...

This is up there with "Apply strict regulations and let the markets work" as one of the stupidest things I've ever read. These nutcases wanted to impeach Bush for firing a handful of US attorneys--his own employees, and now they think Obama should have the power to fire elected members of Congress?

I guess with Obama it should all be about the checks and nothing about the balances.

Obama will not be able to ignore the war crimes. He will have to address them. Time will tell.

Hey, Mr "Insert Random Thoughts Here," the post is about Obama's impotence in spite of $850 billion dollars worth of stimulus.

Don't just go around saying whatever pops into your tiny head all the time. That's the vice president's job.

Pitt, that's not dancing in the streets; that's you staggering home.

Our President is in a world of hurt. Pelosi refused to impeach and now she sits on her throne shooting the beaver to the rest of us.

Man, I was eating lunch when I read this. I picked the WRONG day to get that large Quiznos tuna melt.

Everybody in the House, the Senate and the White House got all geeked up because the whole government just got turned inside out. They got spooked by the lights...

There's some insightful punditry, Pitt. The congressional "leadership," such that it is, is NOT a bunch of neophytes.

As always, the Democrats allow the republicans to force the Dems to eat their own.

I'm trying to picture Gary Coleman grabbing Lennox Lewis's and making him slap himself while repeating "why are you hitting yourself" over and over. It just isn't working for me.

Pitt, we both know it's never about the tonic; it's about the gin.
