Many thanks to Mr. Donofrio for his efforts on behalf of honest, constitutional government. I wish him well in his future endeavors.

Leo deserves credit for his efforts.

As you can read, he’s all over the map.

Good luck Leo.

I don’t understand this story. If the electronic passport was on his body then they would have been able to locate his position and not rush inside the train station.

I don’t believe a word but it is just hilarious. He buys a $35 ticket to go from Union Station to the Supreme Court virtually across the street.

Guy was admittedly losing it. People do such loopy things when, well, getting loopy. Maybe he was just planning to go sightseeing for relief after dropping the packet. Maybe he was going to visit a friend in area afterward. Perhaps thinking of future trips doing same. That’s plausible enough. You couldn’t get me to tell you how much I packed for a particularly nervous-disorder-ridden trip I had to take once that was supposed to last about a week in the middle of college, and I wasn’t even on drugs.

As to the passport giving a signal, I’d think it’d take a pretty sophisticated (large w/ battery) portable device or would have to be fairly well aimed (if not such a large powerful device) to pick up the very benign thing.
Add too there’d be a lot of passports to cull through in such a place. Just offering an explanation.

Hell for all anybody knows that rumor just before this incident of a North? Carolina US? Rep (have to go back) offering protection of FBI was on and these characters were out to protect LD. That’s not such a big stretch.

I heard Leo on Andrea Shea King’s program after reading a number of negative comments here. The man comes across well. I take issue with the negative comments made about him. He has a point. Unless you’ve done something that makes people a lot more powerful than you want to sabotage you, your work, your family or your life, you may not be able to relate. Having once gotten myself in trouble for opening my mouth about a certain boss who was doing drugs in his office on office time, I know a little bit of the paranoia that comes with fear of reprisal.

I can relate. Leo has done as much as he can and now all he can do is walk away and leave it all up to God to sort out.

I wish him well and I pray for God’s protection on him and his family now and into the future.

Remember . . . there was a doctor who had a bomb planted in his car that blew up today . . . those things don’t just “happen accidentally.” There really ARE people who can kill someone without a second thought . . . and make it appear to be an accident . . . and there are a lot of people who will do anything . . . anything . . . to protect “the one” aka the current president. I’m sorry that SCOTUS didn’t live up to their oath to protect the US Constitution . . . and whatever the current president said to them in the closed meeting is speculation. For whatever reason . . . we got what we got and we got to let God take His course and take care of the USofA and us. The truth will eventually come out. It always does. Two weeks into the Presidency and he has to escape from the White House? Two weeks into the Presidency and the Honeymoon is waning? Two weeks into the Presidency and the Media is beginning to see cracks in his performance?

If we just wait . . . time will heal all wounds and wound all heels. And 2010 can’t get here soon enough. Neither can 2012 . . . neither can 2012!

In any event, keep writing your CongressCritters and keep the pressure on the Congressional Leaders. http://www.usa.gov/Contact/Elected.shtml

Leo is a good guy and a defender of the Constitution. He is also very bright. The bashers do not have a clue. Typical Alinsky tactics.

Wow...just wow...I have no more words for this hero - victory or defeat. For others who have never had to carry out a mission, be it self imposed or ordered, give it thought...would you have the courage to do what this patriot attempted?

Well, well. It seems to me that the reason he gives is questionable. If you are doing the right thing, and someone takes it the wrong way, that isn’t your fault. It shouldn’t stop you from continuing to do the right thing.

But I can see that this kind of thing can be wearing and discouraging. He certainly gave it a good shot.

I don’t know if they were just trying to scare me, really meant to take me down, or if it was all a coincidence.

Personally, I believe Mr. Donofrio's story about helicopters buzzing his house and people following him, but assume that the undercover & SWAT cops at Union Station were going after somebody else entirely. I think he wound up next to the "homeless man" purely by coincidence.

Paying $35.00 is a bit expensive just to travel about 3 blocks, but if he really was afraid some "cultists" might do him harm, I can understand his trying to look like a tourist.

According to the "House, M.D." tv show, paranoia is caused by a lack of vitamin B-12; so maybe a couple of pills would help him out.

Actually, as crazy as this part sounds, it could actually be true. There really are RFID trackers and they are becoming more widely used for a variety of purposes. They started putting them in US passports a few years ago.

From what I understand, they are the same type of things that they use in stores the prevent theft. They are those annoying stickers with the metal inside that set of the alarms when you try to leave the store. Radio waves are used to track and identify these tags.

They are not some sci-fi fringe technology, they are actually pretty mainstream now. You can read a little about them here.

His “true story” sounds like a crock of poop, frankly.

Kind of like having a GPS or OnStar. Either you know where you are or “they” do.

Thanks, but my point was (given Donofrio’s account may well be true) that they might not be so portable to be carried around so easily as to trace LD’s movement outside the entry areas, as a commenter suggested was a flaw in LD’s srory.

LD speculates (suggests) he tripped off a stationary mechanism at what one must presume to be a perimeter / entry area.

I suggest to the detracting commenter that such an apparatus isn’t so easily concealed and used discreetly as to trace someone in a crowd with many of the same non-transmitting circuitry cards.

All: I believe the name of Leo Donofrio's band includes a reference to schizophrenia. He is a hero and may either be or need to be medicated.

Leo did what he could and he stood up for the truth of our Constitution. I admire the man, his care, his conviction, and his courage very much.

I took Leo's and Orly Taitz' blogs off the Investigating Obama, "Usurper" blogroll within the last couple days. There still appear to be potentials in the courts....

I wasn’t there, so I have no access to absolute proof, but there’s nothing illogical about Donofrio’s account. His claim against Obama was viable—it had to do with legal documentation, not some weird untenable accusation, so Obama had every reason to feel politically threatened by it.

What level of resources would be expected to be used against Donofrio, given the circumstances?

Everything Donofrio says is consistent with what would be expected, including the level of paranoia he felt.
