I have always despised Springsteen’s “music”.

It is pretentious, overblown, maudlin.

And Brucey’s voice is HIDEOUS.

Everytime I hear him, my brain hurts, which is why I call him, “Bruce Brainstrain”.

Springsteen never did anything for me, he looks like he sings with his jaw wired shut.

I have always appreciated the commercials more than the half-time entertainment but, the socialists will lap it up like candy, ugh.

Use your DVR’s time slip feature and watch 30 min of the 1st half again instead of Broooce and the interminable plugs - then watch the 2nd half live!

It’s the Bissell Kitty Halftime Show for me. Over on Animal Planet during the Puppy Bowl.

> Socialist) Bruce Springsteen

He is only a socialist with *YOUR* money.

His wealth is his to have, to hold, and to keep. You’re just a paeon, not worthy of acreting wealth. Only your overlords in the entertainment and political classes are permitted to live large. You are required “share” what you have with those who have less than you.

Watch Animal Planet’s PUPPY BOWL V.

They say the kitten’s half time steals the show, but I think not.

There’s still a few on FR that criticize those who base their viewing and listening tastes on personal politics...but I’m not one of them.

I was one of the biggest Dixie Chick fans in the world, but I am tickled pink that they still aren’t on the country music stations in Kansas City.

And over the past two years, I’ve grown a strong dislike for Chevrolet because of their using Mellencamp to write their commercial jingle (”This is myyyyy country”) that aired 12-20 times every football game.

"He also accuses me [Ronald Radosh] of attacking Pete Seeger for 'the consistency of his commitment to peace and social justice,' ignoring that what I argued is that Seeger’s only consistency was to the current Communist Party line; that in fact, Seeger was antiwar during the period of the Nazi-Soviet Pact; pro-war after the Soviet Union was the ally of the United States; and anti-war during the years of the Cold War and Vietnam. To Nichols -a rather dense left-winger -it is good form to acknowledge that perhaps 'Stalin was a bad guy,' and then simply get over it, and move on to campaign for very American socialist causes." --Ronald Radosh (former communist)
