Anti-Obama Lefties Listening to Rush (Really? Yes.)

It is no surprise that Obama thinks conservatives shouldn’t listen to Rush Limbaugh. What is surprising, however, is the reaction from some lefties about Obama’s comment: “You can’t just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done.” A liberal blogger at NoQuarter decided that if Obama wants people to turn off Rush Limbaugh then she’d better give him a listen. So she did. What did she find?

I gotta say, I might have to tune in to Rush a little more often. He echos some sentiments shared here, and he also gave me some new things to think about.

He seems to be pretty tough on both liberals and conservatives. However, I think, the older I get, the more conservative I become. I found myself agreeing with some of his comments that I normally wouldn’t.

I can understand now why Obama is telling Republicans to turn off Rush, though. And I must say, I hope they don’t.

Gasp! Will wonders never cease? Like most liberals, she despised Rush, without ever actually listening to him. She posted clips from Rush’s interview with Hannity and asked NoQuarter readers what they thought of the interview. Granted, there were the typical, liberal rants about Rush, but here’s what some of them had to say:

Here!Here! I too never listened to Rush Limbaugh until during the elections and did not find him all that outrageous as the liberal media wanted to portray him. I also did not like Fox network before, but they seemed to be the only ones willing to let the people see the other side of issues. Now I don’t watch CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS.

Great article. Obviously, Obama fears Rush for a reason. That explains “do not listen to Rush” comment. I listen to Rush, started to when he was defending Hillary Clinton during the primaries. I have to say…Rush’s thought and opinions on the economy makes a lot of sense to me.

Limbaugh is ACCURATE PERIOD.

Well, I did not despise him, but wasn’t interested on what he has to say either. Then I read a New York Times profile about him and decided to tune in. I’m hooked now, the guy is really fun in the way he presents his views, very different from the always angry liberals.

I have to say that I am delightedly surprised by this turn of events.

Yep. I’ve been following NoQuarter readers/bloggers since March 2008. I answered Rush’s challenge to participate in Operation Chaos. I experienced the Obamatron caucus fraud first-hand. I still keep in touch with some of the Clintonistas-turned-PUMAs. It was a curious transformation to watch. Most conservatives thought the PUMA “movement” was a joke but it’s real. I’ll probably get flamed for saying this, but I think the only reason McCain came as close as he did to Obama in the vote count is because the PUMAs turned out the vote for Palin.

Rush is such a big success compared to other right wing radio hosts because people who hate him bother to listen to him.

It wouldn't surprise me in the least if Obama is a "fan".

That picture is creepy. He always holds his head so arrogantly. He will have a long fall. The beginning of his “rule” has been somewhat chaotic starting with the botched oath. Maybe a sign of things to come.

8 years ago, I used to be one of those people. Then I started to listen rather than hate on Rush, I started to listen to Hannity, Levin, came on here and the rest was all history. My mind was liberated.

Ditto .. I first heard LImbaugh when he first hit WABC. I was driving 18 wheeler coast to coast, and it wasn’t long that I was able to drive from NY to CA and always find Rush on AM Radio.

So, If I’m going to have to CHOSE SIDES, MULLAH HUSSEIN... YOU are going to LOSE!!! By defacto declaring WAR on RUSH, you have declared war on ME. REMEMBER, I THought and RUSH SAID it .. NOT the other way around.
