[PREFACE}
I am sure there will be plenty of opportunites to provide substantive criticism of President Obama's decisions over the next four years. I encourage folks to provide that substantive criticism without being disrespectful. Over the past 8 years President Bush has been bombarded with personal attacks by his critics. Let us all resolve NOT to follow in THOSE footsteps just because the shoe is now on the other foot.
MY PRAYER:
Father God, Ruler of All Nations, Father of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is with a grateful and humble heart that I come before you today to thank you and praise you in the Name of your Son, Jesus Christ who gave Himself for US, ungrateful, undeserving sinners that we are. Father, you have instructed us to offer the sacrifice of praise, which is the fruit of lips givings thanks to you always.
Father, on this day and everyday I thank you and praise for the peaceful transition of Leadership in our government, specifically the Presidency of the United States of America. Father, you have instructed us to pray for those in Authority. Father, your Word tells us that ALL AUTHORITY in the UNIVERSE has been given to Your Son, The Lord Jesus Christ and so therefore on that basis any human government that recognizes this fact and all specificly all Leaders who place themselves under YOUR Authority have the assurance of Your Divine protection. Father, I am so thankful that in the history of these United States you have given us leaders who have publicly confessed their personal faith and trust in You. I pray that President Barrack Obama will follow in the footsteps of those who have gone before him. I pray that he will Lead our Nation with power and conviction that comes only from sincere humility grounded in a close and personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Father, we are living in trying times, and I pray that our Nation will turn to You and only You for Divine protection and guidance. Lead us on the Path of Righteousness for Your Namesake. This I ask in the Most Worthy and precious name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, AMEN.

P.S.
there are many proposed policies and actions that are a nightmare. May God keep him from doing some of the things he has indicated he will do, and that others are certainly expecting him to do.
But: "The king's heart is in the hand of the Lord, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will." Proverbs 21:1 God has not lost control. As I often point out, some of the worst decisions made in office have come from "our guys" . . . and some otherwise lousy Presidents have somehow been free to do some really great things.
And, because this is a really key point, let me prove that God DID, in fact, choose Barak Obama to be President:
"For promotion [elevation to power] cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: He putteth down one, and setteth up another." Psalm 75:6-7
"Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power [old word for "authority"] but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God . . . For he is the minister of God to thee for good." Romans 13:1-4 There is NOONE in power that God didn't put there . . . and even the "bad guys" become, by that appointment, a "minister of God" for our good.
" . . . know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will." Daniel 4:25
For our part, our job:
"Seek the peace of the city . . . and pray unto the LORD for it: for in the peace thereof shall ye have peace." Jeremiah 29:7 This to God's people in foreign cities under rulers that couldn't care less about God.
"I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for . . . kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour" 1 Timothy 2:1 We are to pray FOR, give thanks for "all that are in authority" . . . support, strengthen, because when they have peace, will have peace. We can't do this commandment without continually thanking God FOR Barak Obama.
God always does His best stuff when everyone is wringing their hands. He laughs at those of us who think He has lost control. He is so much in control that He wants us to joyfully support, encourage the one(s) He has placed in power, anticipating the amazing things He will do for us through them.
My Tagline now reads Pray for Barack Obama. It is time to move forward and offer Our President our FULL support. That does not mean we don’t have constructive criticism along the way... let us NOT follow in the footsteps of the critics of President Bush over the past 8 years.

We had better hope Obama succeeds as commander-in-chief and keeper of the peace because if he fails in that we've all got problems.
But if he doesn't abandon his wild socialist stance, we can all hope that Obama the politician fails and is repudiated in favor of a sound conservative in 2012.
I hope most conservatives will rise above the immature whining leftists who disrespected the presidency the last eight years just because they did not like the current occupant.
Based on Hussein Obama’s past performance and his associations, not on his idiotic transparent political preachings on the campaign trail, I see a potential tyrant rising to power just as history tells us happens readily. I will not pray for or support an evil tyrant no matter the cost. My ancestors and relatives have fought and died in every war since before the Revolutionary War in order that we are free from such despots.
I pray for the success of my country and its people, and at least part of that is praying that Obama does some things RIGHT as well..

Thank you for your service. I pray every night for our nation, our troops, and their families. I also pray for those that have died in service to our country. I can't pray for Obama. To pray for him means I condone his plans for this country. The only thing I pray for Obama, is that the eyes of the American people are opened to see the diasaster they have wrought.
But the prayers in this house will be the same prayers that would be offered for King Ahab and Queen Jezebel, King Manasseh, Pontius Pilate and Claudius Nero...

I understand your frustration and you are certainly not alone in your thinking. I encourage you to look past your personal opinion on President Obama and pray for the person who hold the Office of President of the United States <- Which I believe we are instructed to do by God Himself.

5. Strength for the Body to maintain their testimony in all circumstances.
