I agree fully and thank the author.

But.. three points

1) The "civil rights" industry is very lucrative don't look for an end to it for a long, long time.

2) You're not going to stop one form of racism: liberals taunting conservative blacks with Oreo cookies, contempt, and contumely.

3) Toss out those "stupid 60s ideas?" Sorry. The 1960s New Left street rabble and their ideological issue have just conquered our federal government. The dream to "Bring it all down, man" has moved from the streets to Congress and the White House. We are facing a top-down Marxist revolution run by people whose 1960s dream was to start a race war.

New rules apply vis-a-vis politics but we don't know yet what those rules are. It's entirely up to the Marxists who at this very moment are planning show trials of their political enemies, namely us starting at the very top.

Which is not only true, but devastating. Some of the most harmfully racist people you'll meet are liberals hell bent on proving how enlightened they are. They'll be the first to champion and vote for causes that guarentee misery and poverty for non-whites, so long as the stated rational for the program sounds nice.

It's not the effect they care about, it's the process. So long as they feel good about proving themselves and their moral superiority, they'll never change.

Tavis Smiley has already declared that Bambi’s election is only a small down payment on MLK dream of a color blind society. So I am not holding my breath expecting any change.

But on a personal level my “white guilt” ended in 1969 when I went to college from my small rural community and ran into big city Blacks for the first time. For the record what little white guilt I had was engendered by seeing whites only bathrooms and water fountains in Alabama and Georgia while on vacation as a child.

Good point but any percentage of white will be trumped by a trace of black. If black I would be very concerned about how my representative is going to perform, produce and protect. Notice that the 50% “whitey” was already under the proverbial bus and irrelevant. And our Constitutional eligibility requirements not to mention national security clearance requirements are no longer relevant either.
