Kate Hudson has started off the New Year in a very stylish fashion. We first noticed her commitment to couture when she made her way to the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City to do the taping of a segment of the Late Show with David Letterman. She was rocking out in a sexy Emilio Pucci sequined mini dress from the brand’s Spring 2009 collection. Hudson accentuated her look with black opaque tights and Sergio Rossi suede slingback sandals.

To my fashion-challenged eye, that’s still one pretty snazzy outfit, though like some of the fashions of the 60’s/70’s, I suspect it will look absurd in thirty years!

LOL! When my family was at Myrtle Beach last May, a couple was married on the beach about 50 yards from the steps to our porch. Several of the wedding party were wearing backless dresses which displayed large, loud tattoos. My mother and mother-in-law couldn’t believe it.

The mini dress is pretty, but the breathless way they report the name of the designer always seems kind of ridiculous to me. Oh, the name, the name. Hey, who made the earrings? Who made the tights? Let's find that out too.
Wasn't there a time you noticed the woman, not the designer?

Wasn't there a time you noticed the woman, not the designer? I think most of the guys are noticing the woman ;-). Nonetheless, the publication is about fashion, so the clothes, the accessories, and their designers are the real subject.

Somewhat overdressed there.

Tattoo’s are a great fad, but when the fad runs out, you still have them.
You can always change a dress.

I love the clothes...and the looknof Tinseltown glamour. Kate Hudson looks great in the top photo...but as pretty as she looks in the white gown pic, I can’t help but think of her as Goldie Version 2.0. She needs her own ‘look.’
And I hafta ask, what’s up w/Hathaway? Did they forget to tell her to dress up? She looks (facially) odd as well. Botoxing that young? A little Rejuvex gone awry?
