Not necessarily. Evidence indicates ice ages will set in within a single decade.
Uh, what evidence would that be?

We have no choice, because the AGW lunatics leap on every warm zephyr as proof. Not only that, but they’re totally unscrupulous about how they manipulate information.

Read this book when I was a teenager and was getting ready for the end of times in 1979 due to **G L O B A L C O O L I N G**.
by Arnold Federbush.
I thought it was an awesome read then. I think I'll see if I can dig it up to read it again.

However, responding with assertions that are as foolishly localized as those we aim to refute, is futile. We need to fight wrong-headedness with clarity and scientific perspective.
Merely nay-saying and negating their claims is pointless, even if what we say is true, because when we do, we're playing to their rules. We need to argue, not that they are merely mistaken, but that they miss the larger perspective in which their argument falls apart.

I keep thinking that we’re just in some odd time warp and everything is going back to the late ‘70s. You just proved it by mentioning global cooling.

The earth ended up 2008 2009 with AS MUCH SEA ICE AS WE HAD IN 1979 1650 ;-)

True. To quote:
A single sparrow does not a spring make.
But lower temps and oceans does fit nicely with the downturn in sunspots.

Can't we at least TRY to be smarter than the Global Warming idiots? Global temperature changes take place over thousands of years, often tens of thousands. Anyone who interprets a few years here or there is reading NOISE in the overall curve. It may be useful or meaningful for the particular people living at that particular time, but IT'S MEANINGLESS in terms of overall Earth temperatures such as any form of global warming or cooling. The Earth has undergone much larger temperature swings than anyone alive can even imagine, much less has experienced. BUT IT TAKES THOUSANDS OR TENS OF THOUSANDS OF YEARS to establish such trends. SO CAN WE PLEASE STOP THIS STUPID CROWING ABOUT HOW IT'S BEEN A COLD YEAR, OR ICE IS THE SAME AS IT WAS 30 YEARS AGO??? Makes us sound as ridiculous as the AGW idiots. Geez.
----------------
As El Rushbo would put it, we illustrate absurdity through absurdity. In any event, at least current cooling trends correlate to some scientific observation - that being solar activity and climate changes on earth.

There is *some* global warming caused by Man.
But, it’s not anywhere to the “Life and Death” scenerio that Al Gore is giving in our lifetime.
Global warming would actually be a Nuclear bomb detinated 300 miles above the atmosphere generating an Electro-magnitic shockwave frying electronics spanning thousands of miles below.
The radiation would block the Sun for months while trapping the heat in the atmosphere producing the Greenhouse effect.
Maybe Gore, should worry more that. He’s actually be doing something useful for once.

You try to fight a political, propaganda war with nothing but reason and common sense, and you're going to lose. People need to understand that. You pin down any scientist in the world (except maybe James Hansen) and listen to them-- they're not claiming the world is about to end. Its the media's propaganda war doing that. We can't "win the war with science" because its never been about science in the first place. It's just propaganda.

Global temperature changes take place over thousands of years, often tens of thousands. Not true:
Abrupt Climate Change
The most spectacular aspect of the YD [Younger Dryas] is that it ended extremely abruptly (around 11,600 years ago), and although the date cannot be known exactly, it is estimated from the annually-banded Greenland ice-core that the annual-mean temperature increased by as much as 10°C in 10 years.
It's always a good idea to have one's facts straight before declaring the ignorance of others.

The “Little Ice Age” began in less than a year, (17th century) and killed 2/3’s of the European population, finally ending in the 1800’s
Some prehistoric evidence points out Mammoths being frozen while standing on all fours, with green plant food still in their mouth.
So, yes, Global Climate change can happen rather fast.

Yeah. The gas price fall is what confused the whole theory. But, I have been seeing more afros out there than I ever saw since I was tiny.

I think you’re exaggerating the demographic impact of the LIA.
