No doubt Latrica's 10 kids survive on welfare, food stamps, Medicaid, etc., and probably she's never been married. Wouldn't be surprising that a half dozen or more "fathers" are not identified.
This is a cultural reality, where such irresponsible behaviour is somehow not being accommodated to her liking by those "rich folks".....but she voted for The Messiah, so her income and needs will be forthcoming at a greater level from someone else .

#1: Birth control. #2: Put children up for adoption with a decent (conservative) family.

I read the article...and the comments (alot of Flint FReepers?)...but the question does beg...where are the fathers of this brood? At some point, can't the social service types advise towards birth control (or lifestyle change)? The youngest is two months old...so, whilst she had nine (under the age of 12) there was a babydaddy of some kind present for at least a few hours. Or does social services provided sitters so that mama can go party?
On a happy note, I guess Ms. Ryan thinks Obama will provide her with the needed washer and dryer...

Ryan, is a 29-year-old single stay-at-home mother of five sons and five daughters, who range in age from 2 months to 13 years.Another poster child for the culture of entitlement and total dependence.
I give my share, particularly around the holidays and, given a choice, this parasite would never be on my list.
No sympathy here.

Big fat dumb question: If she’s a stay at home mom with ten kids, how does she have enough money for going out for dinner or a movie? What’s so wrong with pizza delivery and Netflix?

I'm not going to be online tomorrow so I'll post my opinion today:
I think that the city of Flint should buy her a vehicle of sufficient size for her to take her children where they need to go. And she should also be given access to the city fleet fueling station so she wouldn't have to worry about trying to buy gasoline. Going to the grocery store must be quite an endeavor- the city should just bring her weekly groceries to her. She's got a lot of dependents so she deserves these types of services.
Oh, wait-- tomorrow is New Year's Day, not April Fool's Day. Please disregard the opinion above as it was intended as a gag...

I knew a doctor in Pittsburgh who wound up in serious trouble for tying the tubes of welfare receiving baby factories such as this one. Personally I think he was doing a great service for the community.

And she is telling all 10 of her kids that other people - not they themselves - are responsible for their food, clothing, shelter, and entertainment. And those 10 kids will each tell their 10 kids, and so on...

I am almost certain that Flint has public transportation.
I would think that she and her 10 kids could fit on a metro bus quite easily and get within walking distance of most any theater or restaurant.

It’s a very difficult thing to deal with, but a simple one to explain to my children (who I adopted as a sibling set as a single mother). We have taken all shame out of having babies outside of marriage. Certain church groups / Christian organizations get a sense of goodwill for contributing to the needs of families like these. The article itself is written to draw out our sympathies for these precious children, and to make it look like this mother is doing a good job in sacrificing her life to raise them.
The problem is — that the full truth is being left out of the piece. Someone on this thread says that she is teaching her 10 children this is acceptable behavior — and they will teach THEIR 150 children (more or less) the same things. Most of them will learn the art of manipulating the system so they will never know the thrill of independence or self-discipline.
Teaching girls to treat their bodies in respectful ways, to keep their legs closed, and to save themselves for one man to marry someday, is looked upon as provincial and unrealistic. I wish more of us who DO keep sex within marriage only would come out of the shadows and proclaim its virtue more than we do, because of social intimidation (even within the church body). Instead — we have Britney Spears and Oprah and Angelina as models for girls and women to emulate. Sad....
