For 34 Years Lake Superior State University in Michigan has compiled a list of Useless, Over-used, and Misused Buzzwords that should be banned from the "Queen's English." Over 5,000 nominees were entered, and this year's list is a doozy (see below).
Due to the global warming craze, this years list contains many "green" terms (such as carbon footprint) but also some from the political campaign and the recent economic nightmare. Below is their list, do you agree? What words do you thing should be banned from the Queen's (Brooklyn and Long Island too) English. Read the winning losing words below and post your thoughts:

If I hear “at the end of the day” one more time I’m going to scream.
I would like Laura Ingraham to stop using the word "disturbing". Mainly because she uses it as filler the way Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg uses the words, "you know"
I'd like FoxNews to stop using phrases like "FoxNews Alert" because it's usually nothing more than a rehash of the previous 24 hours of news "alerts".I'd like Megan Kelly to stop using the phrase "the answer might A)shock, B) surprise, C) alarm you..." before going to commercial mainly because whatever if is that is supposed to shock/surprise/alarm me never does.
I'd like to hear Sean Hannity stop using the phrase, "joining us in our next segment..." especially when everyone knows whoever his guest is won't be joining him until the last 30 minutes of his show.
And I'd like to never hear the words, "This is Katie Couric...", "This is Tom Brokaw...", "This is Chris Matthews...", "This is whoever does ABC News..." ever, ever, ever again.
Brooklyn and Long Island English-Funny. I wonder how the author would say-I’ll cut youse?

Everything is “Amazing.”
Except it isn’t.
Very few things are “amazing.”
Its almost like the misuse of “unique.” People place modifiers on “unique.” If something is unique, it cannot be expressed as “more unique”. It is, by definition a singular item in the universe, without copy or equal.
"Absolutely."
(One of the words that makes me scream.)
ubiquitous
OH my hated phrase is “sooner rather than later”....for God’s sake just say soon.
I’m all for getting rid of maverick, but don’t forget “hope” and “change”. It’s a presidential election, not a Lifetime Network movie.
Ping; your use of *iconic* in a previous thread.
I’d like to bid farewell to “blog” used as a verb.
Do other authors say they “book” or “magazine” or “newspaper”?
The guy is nothing more than a ballerina with a billy club.
While we’re at it, let’s not overlook “incredible.” Time to give it a rest, people!
The number of times the word is misused is just......incredible.
Your post was amazing.
And he looks like an emu.
“sea change”...
HAPPY NEW YEAR
NEW! IMPROVED! = Different
Heavens to Mergatroid. You're right.
