> Blagojevich, one of the biggest gun grabbing morons in the country... loses what was left of his Second Amendment Right in his home state.... that is sweet revenge.

I know what' you're saying, but be careful.

Just as I acknowledge and defend the freedom of speech of some obnoxious idiot spouting nonsense, I acknowledge and defend the Right to Keep and Bear Arms for all citizens under the Second Amendment.

Taking away Blagojevich's SA rights -- because he's a scum-sucking law-breaking corrupt politician -- is certainly a delicious irony.

Let us make sure that even in this case, a citizen's RKBA is not compromised without proper process.

The fact that he even has to have a FOID card is bogus in the first place, isn’t it? FWIW, I did read in the Chicago media that he surrendered his FOID card. Not likely he was going to go into a Gander Mountain and stock up on ammo anyway. That’d make the news.

Wait—for those of us who don’t live in Illinois, could you clarify? I thought it had become illegal for any resident of Illinois to own a handgun, and that defending yourself wiht a firearm in your own home is illegal as well. Many people believe the same thing. Is this not true? If it’s not, can you tell me roughly what the law is? That would help to clear up misconceptions.

“Let us make sure that even in this case, a citizen’s RKBA is not compromised without proper process.”

Yes, I’m surprised that they could do this before he’s been convicted. On Fox News Sunday this morning, Bill Kristol was surprised that Fitzgerald had acted so quickly on Blago. He said there should be an ‘overt act’ & that just talking about selling the senate seat might not be enough for a conviction. Which leads me to think that Fitz was pre-empting the investigation deliberately. Guess I better put on my tin-foil hat.

You can not own a handgun in Cook County - Chicago. You can own a handgun in the rest of the state as far as I know. You don't register guns here, you register yourself. FOID cards are necessary to buy ammo and guns.

That is what I hate about the corruption in Chicago. Illinois is a looong state and in the southern tip you are below the some of the southern states. Not all of this state is corrupt.

Many in the sport shooting community look unfavorably upon Glocks because they're considered 'plastic' guns. Many call them 'tupperware guns' Here's a depiction of one non-fans view of a Glock malfunction, called a 'stovepipe'(when the empty shell is not completely ejected) Photobucket

"Bill Kristol was surprised that Fitzgerald had acted so quickly on Blago."

Is Kristol really that dumb? He really doesn't know why The Fitz acted so quickly on Blago?

I don’t know what Kristol knows. But it does seem odd to me that a five year investigation would be so abruptly terminated when it was obvious more dirty pols could be caught in the net. What do YOU know? ;-)

I don’t know that I know much of anything. Nevertheless, it was Fitz who left Libby twisting in the wind for nigh two years pursuing a process crime in the Plame affair, while knowing that no crime had been committed and likewise, from the start, knowing that Richard Armitage had loosed the leak he (Fitz) was trying to pin on Libby. There is no reason to think anything other than that Fitz broke the Blago investigation prematurely in an effort to prevent any other Chicago pol from being harmed by the scandal (like Jackson Jr., or Jarrett, or anyone from the Daley machine, or . . . dare we say the unnamed name? . . . the most merciful 0ne himself, The Great Messiah).

Just as in the Plame affair, the actions undertaken by Fitz in the Blago scandal in no way has served the interests of Justice. It has served only the interests of crooked Chicago Democrat pols.
